And I also didn't expect you can view the Player's best of E-amusement even without an account.

Thanks a lot for compiling that list Aaron, but is that somehow set to new songs only? I recall seeing X2 top lists and it also included old songs. I find interesting seeing how new songs are doing compared to the older ones, but oh well. Seems like it's another of those little and pointless Konami changes.

That would interest me too if at all possible. It's cool to see both old and new songs get some love, and I think that top 30 list would be far different considering some of the chart quality of the new songs.

P2 = Player 2. If I were playing on the 1P side it would say P1. Both P1/P2 are available if two people are playing.

The "No Account" refers to PASELI, the prepaid system. It is separate from the eAmuse account. (Though you can't have a PASELI account without an eAmuse account)


Originally I thought about that, too, but I checked again both on the Japanese mixi/blog rings and in person today and through every indication, that list is for both the old and new (X3) songs. Not a single song from previous mixes made the top 30 (as of present). However, when I put in my own personal Player's Best, I noticed songs from older mixes on there. Also, I brought up the Player's Best on the extra stage and Amalgamation wasn't in it at all. So even though I expect the list/order to shift around somewhat, that list *is* the current top 30 songs on eAmuse for both old/new songs. It has nothing to do with chart "quality", just popularity.

There will probably be a bit more variety in the top 30 as time goes on, though.

All seven licenses are first, then brand new KOs (some unlocks, but no love for I/O and New Beginning )

Then the 3 crossovers

Then DDR II songs
Then DDR 2010 songs.

The more I look at that top 30 list and compare it to the list on bemaniwiki, something seems so strange. That top list even follows the default song listing to a degree.

Also, I haven't unlocked everything on my account yet. I just got I/O, In The Air and Time recently, so I'll take another look next time and see if it affects the top 30 in that way (It may very well, but I'm more interested in if the songs also are in order as they are in the default song order).

Oh I hope this ones as good as X2, a lot of people say DDR is not what it used to be but to be honest I think it has improved alot, all except for the excessive licenses. but still there's a whole bunch of interesting new originals and new features so im stoked to see how this will turn out

Recent DDR games have a pretty normal amount of licenses when compared to older DDR game, but I agree with your sentiment. Newer DDR games are pretty underrated.

I'm gonna take a page from Aaron and say that this is a "western idea" which is from all the people who miss their beloved stale piece of crap known as Extreme.

Honestly, I get so bored with that mix in such a short period of time. The only songs I play on it really are club version songs and good-cool.


But you are right, things have improved tremendously, but let all the complainers stick to ITG.

yeah its sucks that my local arcade has only an extreme, it also had an ITG, but the closest thing i can play is a supernova because the newest machine here in Puerto Rico is a SN2 and there are about 2 of em approx. in the whole island, they should really modernize my local arcade

I still don't have an X2 machine anywhere near me. (God damn that stupid AMC commercial). So my frequent SN2 machine keeps me moving for a good 3-4 hours each day I go.

ahh hey at least a SN2 has more challenging songs, SN1 is good and all, but sometimes I see it as an Extreme with better Graphics and only 2 new boss songs (paranoia Respect and Max 300smmm scince u cant actually play the fascinations , healingdv or chaos on regular stages) there are plenty of 7-9 footers that are still fun to play though

SN2 is still one of my favorite mixes, really loved almost every new song on that game.

I like the sound of X3's KOs as well, but I sure would like to see some activity. Perhaps they're taking it slow with X3 to allow them more development time for the next game.

Its so sad that I still see so many "haven't played in years" type players go on SN2 (or anything post EX) and just not even try anything new.

yeah i know what you mean, I actually fellt that way when I played X2 cause I wasnt familiar with anything from X or X2, i only played SN2 songs or lower XD

Uhh Extreme is an awesome stale piece of crap that has been extinct for five years too long in some areas. xP
But some elitists should move on and try something new, of course.

Though I'm very surprised that/if absolutely no old charts topped things like... Crazy Love, Something Special, and Ever Snow. Also surprised those topped as much as they did... xP Maybe everyone just played X2 to death and they're all that tired of those songs for the time being...
