So this was announced recently:

Ugh, Houston is getting the shaft.(But hey, maybe 3rd time will be a charm, and Houston will get a Round 1.)

On the bright side, if SGC is ever held up in Frisco again and I want to make a trip to Round 1 during that time, I can go to this location when it opens since it will be a shorter drive than The Parks At Arlington.

I have been wanting to play some BEMANI for some time now (the modern games). I unfortunately have no access to the modern games because of not being in Japan and no other BEMANI other than DDR for me. I really am interested, but I don't think I can be of reasonable added discussion to basically anything on the site anymore. I actually can make okay simfiles, but I don't know where to start with that either without being knowledgeable on how new step artists got their head start with their work. Simply put, I'm worried about my future here on Zenius. My rating has dropped gradually for about a week or two, and I really don't know where I'm going anymore with this site. Anyone got any advice? I really don't know where I'm going with this site anymore, I'm losing interest due to a lack of things to discuss.

Welcome to my world.

More precisely, It's gotten to a point in my life that I enjoy BEMANI, but I really have nowhere here to enjoy playing it, more so my location makes it difficult to be in a relevant 'state' with the US BEMANI scene (which honestly comprises of a few select cities that have the privilege of having a Round One arcade and/or a private owner's collection that owns Rhythm/BEMANI machines), however I've taken leaps to travel to out-of-state events and conventions to be around said people and it's slowly trickling my interest in the series as well as being involved with the community once again. That and the fact that I have a close proximity friend who is planning on importing some BEMANI/schmup cabs to be played in his garage/first floor of his house, one of which has already been ordered and is arriving in December, a machine that by the time he gets it will be the third of its kind in the entire United States.

Your 'points' get lowered for many reasons which may include:
- Your posting quality is bad/flammatory/bullying/uneccessary/etc.,
- When members that have not used the site for an extended period of time (I think it's one year?), their points get deducted along with the points they gave to the user's during their time here, which essentially lowers the overall point count of the users that member gave points towards.
- Some people just don't plain like you. It happens, it's ZIv/the Internet.

It could also be because Konami has currently been doing some very 'off' practices with their entire console division, some of which really make me question how long before they decide to just end BEMANI and go forth with other ventures in their company's life cycle. It doesn't seem to be the case now but the consensus appears to show that the highest played games (IIDX, Rb, SDVX, jubeat) seem to be getting more catered to than the other titles in terms of flow of content and activity (DDR, DanEvo, Pop N' Music although they did announce a new version, GITADORA, and BeatStream. Probably something else too). Honestly who knows? Konami IS TRYING to bring their games to the US, and the latest test confirms they are willing to bring e-amuse to the States (even to an arcade chain outside Round One), but with such a restriction on where the games go it will definitely not really bring up a much bigger community than what we have now, sure Round One's will eventually pop up in most major US cities, but that will take 5 years time to accomplish, by then who knows if we will still be playing BEMANI or if something drastic changes the course of the series, we can't really tell anymore.

Basically, life. It's a bitch but we do what we can. We'll be VERY lucky if we can revive this scene like the good ol' days, but it's a pipe dream unless Konami actually gives a damn about US.

After watching all of the songs in gameplay, I can safely say I love this setlist! For those who don't want to necessarily watch ~3-4 hours of songs, here's a quick video showing previews of the new songs that was done by this YouTuber at my request.
