I'm actually curious if anybody caught the significance of the song In The Zone to the history of Konami. It just hit me a while back and I don't recall anybody bringing it up.
What is it?

In The Zone, or rather NBA In The Zone was a series of basketball games Konami created for a while during the N64 and PS1 era. That song was in reference to it. If you noticed, the logo on the song banner is the exact same logo used for the games.
While most of us didn't think of it too much as a B-Ball game, one thing it definitely had going for it was it's soundtrack. Even if one of the songs REALLY ripped off the hook of It Takes Two to Make A Thing Go Right. *lol*

Wow! That's so cool that they dipped into their own history.

U1 also did some songs (or the whole soundtrack?) for that game, too.

DDR and Bemani have a history of dipping into Konami's history.

I think DDR and Bemani should do that more often. There is a lot of untapped Konami games that could be good for DDR games, like TMNT for example wouldn't surprise me if there were a few songs in the game that can be danceable.

Like what? SuperNOVA was a mis-synced nightmare.
I wonder if the dancers on 2ndMIX Mode have their overall size fixed now?

I'm late, but never fear, Doctor Aaron is her*crash bang plop flop BLAM*
SuperNOVA, the .jp mix was far from a missynced nightmare (though there were some issues, more on that in a minute). Some issues were patched, like the Mind Parasite difficulty bug, and eAmuse allowed for IR events/results to be synced with Konami's own Mother Brain in their HQ. Wait, I think I still have my photo of that (The Mind Parasite fix, not Mother Brain).

The songs there were off-sync were RED ZONE (The Japanese version was off-sync like mad before and after all patches; they couldn't seem to get it right. I AAAd it on double on SuperNOVA but I didn't bother torturing myself with the single chart until it was fixed decently enough for me on...X, I think.
Any song that used a BG video tended to be late on SuperNOVA JP, and Beautiful Life was a total mess with the arrows not even scrolling smoothly over the video (it was very jittery). Also, slow songs like bag and I'll Make Love To You had the old broken quantization so they were painful to try and PA.
Apart from that, most songs were fine (though personally I always thought something felt funny with Mr. Dabada), and this mix is still the mix of choice for some gamers here for Max 300, Max 300 SMMM and most of the faster songs (they feel it is the best synced for those) and it was actually a really popular mix.
About your second question, though, the dancers in 2nd Mix Mode on X3 are still tiny.

No one ever remembers Emotion. It was an entire measure off on original SN machines.

That might have been overseas-only. I remember talk about that and I know the test location version of the game in Japan was just as messed up as everywhere else, but I don't remember anything wrong with it on the final release. In fact, everyone and their brother AAAd e-motion when SuperNOVA came out it seems (these AAAs were counted separately from those done on Extreme despite being in the "Extreme" section; sorted in order of date done):
http://skillattack.com:1998/sa3/ext/loss/?act=music&music=e-motion&s4m=2
(Plenty of AAAs on double, too)
Mind you, I didn't bother much with that song after finishing it off on Extreme (single and double) apart from random play.
edit> razorblade> Thanks. I finished with that song on Supernova but it nice to get some closure to the mystery with that song.

*Hiding now*
Also when you scrolled on the songwheel in supernova was that REALLY loud sound ever toned down?

Doh, Konami still broke Kung Fu Fighting on the Japanese machines. I'm so sorry, Carl Dolglas

Weird - on Supernova I recall E-motion being dead on. Vanity Angel on the other hand...

Does a DDR X3 VS 2NDMIX work thread exist here? I want to share these for the simfile makers.
wierd the other video isn't posting. He also has the DOUBLE stepcharts for Rhythms Inside.

Has anybody else started to wonder if maybe we got everything? Like, this mix is completely unlocked through enjoy levels, and they decided not to do an extra stage system Ala IIDX 18 and every other DDR mix beside X2?

Well, we know there are still some songs that have yet to be unlocked such as 隅田川夏恋歌 and the 2ndMIX licenses that are currently only available in course mode.

And there's also a hidden song which can up Voltage to 200 for Single Play.POSSESSION has went down from 200 (X2) to 178 (X3) Lolol~
As for Double play, POSSESSION remain unchanged (200)
