Nice, I've been thinking about picking up a Tony Hawk game.

I recommend you pick up either Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 or Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. My personal favorites.
I recommend you don't go anywhere near Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD unless you enjoy suffering.

I don't hate HD.

But yeah, my favourite one is probably American Wasteland. The Underground ones were OK, I think THUG2 got a little more hate than it deserved because of the Jackass-slant to it, but I enjoyed it still.

Tony Hawk Talk: Pro Skater 3 is my favourite, and it's not because it's practically my most nostalgic game ever, it's because it plays like Pro Skater 2, but bigger and with an even BETTER soundtrack. CKY, anyone?

I thought THPS3 was pretty sub-par at best. Nothing about that game really did anything for me (except the Neversoft Skater, which is probably my favorite thing in any game ever). Soundtrack was okay, I guess, but the first 2 games + THAW had the best soundtracks in my opinion.
On the topic of Tony Hawk, I finished up THUG the other day. Found all gaps, completed story on Normal (gotta do it again on Sick though), and I've gotta say that it was certainly an experience. Kinda overrated as a whole, though.

I dunno, THPS3 had a killer soundtrack IMO. My favorite games are the THUGs and the original THPS, but THPS3's OST definitely helps it rise on my list.

My favourite will still be AW, followed by 4, then it gets difficult. Uhh...let's go with UG2.
