I had a dream where there was a tournament for a Virtual Reality parkour race game controlled by a DDR pad. I got second place out of four people and l lost by less than a minute.

I feel like I barely got any practice before my test, no driving school, I had only driven on the freeway once and I still can't parallel park, but I somehow passed. It sounds like you'll be fine.

Dream DDR pads always slide away from me too. I usually dream about ParaParaParadise machines that are full of songs I've never heard before, have only two sensors instead of five, or are jacked up/unplayable in some bizarre way.

once i had a dream where i went to my usual arcade and they got a IIDX machine!!! but it was IIDX nintendo mix and the interface looked like a grid of DDR banners, and all songs were locked for play. i tried to pick a song for 2 minutes until the machine shut off and disappeared

I had a dream where there was a random DDR cabinet on the side of my street, but in order to play it, you first had to pass a song similar to TSUwhateverGAMUSH and not fail. I always failed.

I passed. My evaluator was pretty chill. When we finished, she was like "So you missed 7 (15 is failing), but that's not so bad. You passed, so congrats". Since driver's training was all I did these last couple months, I don't know what to do with my life anymore. At least that's what it feels like.

The "pads are missing" thing happened to me too. They were "out for repair" or something. Also, I dreamt once that I was playing some dance game, but the "stage" was this weird thing with big oddly shaped, rounded, and uncomfortably textured buttons on long springs, practically impossible to play properly without the springs bending away and the buttons sliding out from under your feet or making you trip all over the place.

A friend of mine dreamt once that there was a 5th mix machine with weird side panels connected to the top where the monitor is, and those are usually pushed in but they come out under certain circumstances. Also, MAX.(period) was on this 5th mix.

I've had a dream where there were no pads, as well! That's weird...

Why do we have these dreams with these odd, weird DDR machines?

Because they're actually nightmares.

Someone somewhere needs to invent a way for us to record our dreams, seriously!

But that would require their government to grant the creator, X amount of money that comes from the tax dollars of their poor citizens. Are the tax dollars of your fellow citizens, worth it for a machine that could record our dreams, but backfire in some chaotic manner?
