I think the timing issue was caused by misalignment between display and music, so a player like you who pay attention to both music and display should have little problem with scoring. On the other hand, players like me who only focus on music will get constant (fast) Greats (at least 220+ per play) and therefore find it easy to get D°s.

As for Challenge, I'm not sure about your case, but I've assumed that a timing issue like this would trigger false N.G.s for the shock arrows, so I didn't bother trying it.

That's the original version. The sig was always censored, what got removed was the gun and ammo.

I wonder if there are seperate options in the game option menu for X3 and 2nd mix.

As in, can you set 2nd mix mode to 4 songs while X3 is only 3? I wanna ask the arcade to make 2nd mix 4 songs cause right now its totally not worth playing it when you only get 3 short songs with no extra stage.

Yeah, though later I tried the double charts on a dedicab for the first time a week later and got those with no problem *and* with better MA than I had on the upgrade cab in Odaiba (and I got these in one try) (photos are all in the accomplishments thread if anyone really wants to see them):

Upgrade Cab - Expert Single - 29p
Upgrade Cab - Challenge Single - 31p

Dedicab - Expert Double - 21p
Dedicab - Challenge Double - 24p

I did fine just playing to the music but I think the first time I played it on single was before some patch and everything felt noticably off on a dedicab.

Several places where I play has 4 songs for 2nd mix mode. You should try to ask them.

So, just like the real DDR 2nd mix.

Seriously though, I think it is possible (though all of the places I have gone are only set at 3 songs), but you'd have to sweet talk the arcade operator(s) to poke around the operator menu, though.

"Carl Dolglas"...awesome. It's like they kept their original proofreading/QA team on board. There is another bug in 2nd mix mode with two difficulty titles overlapping each other during play (Basic and Maniac). Pre-san has a photo of that...here, I'll host it.



Oh, Derek, Target score select works on upgrade cabinets here. It must be a regional difference until the next update to the Asian region I'm guessing. I've asked Akudaikan to triple check that right now (and take a pic or something)

How do you change difficulty on 2NDMIX mode? I think different difficulties is impossible on VERSUS play way back on the original DDR 2NDMIX.

It was changeable before December 20th for VERSUS/DOUBLES too.

They patched it though.

You change difficulties by entering ←←←→→→←→ when you had the ANOTHER difficulty picked.
