I know this isn't really a problem for most entrants, but wouldn't this prohibit someone who doesn't have twenty points from entering if you need to vote or else get DQ'd?

Considering anyone else can just give free points to someone that doesn't have 20 points yet, it's really kind of a non-issue.

To be fair there's 40 files and you can only vote for 5. Should be expected that nobody's ready on the first day of voting... you've gotta be sure of your absolute favorites.

If they deserve the spot more than you do, they'll get more points than you do.

Dang, 40 files is a whole lot to play if you ask me. It really does put on a lot of pressure. Especially when there's only gonna be a 57 percent chance of advancing to the next round.
The last few times TOI has only rejected like around 5 people from the qualifier round but this here is a bit overwhelming.

We've had worse and some of these files are only 1 chart. So it's not too bad. You have one week to review them, so knock some out a little at a time.The last few times TOI has only rejected like around 5 people from the qualifier round but this here is a bit overwhelming.

Hey, I want to bring up something.
You know how Pandemonium X is thinking of reducing the length of Summer Contest to 8 or 10 weeks?
How about 9 weeks?
If Round 1 will have 23 people advancing, then it would make sense for Round 2 to have 12 advance, Round 3 to have 6, and Round 4 have 3. So basically 3 co-hosts for SC with 3 themes each. This would allow the hosts to deliver their very best theme ideas without also having filler ones in between. It would also be something new for SC since, as far as I know, it's always been two hosts.

I don't think Pandy will just change the amount of winners from 2 to 3 on the fly during the contest.
