IIDX Accomplishment Thread

steel needle is a bitch at the beginning on all difficulties, random and non.

cleared nageki no ki[a] yesterday. IIDX [a] all cleared

now i have to work on the 4 black anothers i can't pass...

I was surprised when I cleared STEEL NEEDLE on Hyper. I still haven't cleared Anisakis [h] yet though. I'm terrible at fast scales and even if I survive the chords, the scale ending will most likely rob me of whatever is left past 80%.

Cleared 7th Dan on Happy Sky. Got 8% left at the end of Aurora.

Also cleared Xepher and V [h].


I'm guessing MENDES, ICARUS, four pieces of heaven and Time to Air? I give you props for being able to do 14/18 of those monstrosity they call [ba] in the first place.

Yesterday I managed to Hard Clear Hybrid Landscape [A] (which has a ridiculously difficult beginning for a 9) and Full Combo Vanishing Point [H]. I still can't beat MINT [A], though, and I can't Hard Clear Contract [A] or Harmony and Lovely [A].

Today I cleared Lucy [A] and Space Fight [A], putting me at 65/117 (excluding Empress songs unavailable on CS styles yet, but including 11s not on CS 9th-DJT, which is what I have) 11s cleared, or 55.56%.

Attempted [H] on all cardinal gate songs yesterday. Cleared Kachoufusetsu [H] for the first time. Failed the rest.

Cleared Vox Up [h]
I don't get how this is supposed a really hard 11.

The 8th jackhammers (if you could call them that) are somewhat tiring/annoying, there's quite a few irritating scratches, and the ending (that's easily cheatable) can easily make you fail.

I cleared AA another.
And then didn't play IIDX for 2 weeks. :V

And also it's now my 66th 11 cleared.

In Happy Sky about two days ago, I finally got a dj score of A on Recollection Another in Happy Sky CS!! Finally some improvement...

BTW, Shift Another on DJ Troopers CS is an EASY 10 to clear!! I cleared this song the first time I played it on another.

Besides moving onto 9's (Only just, more fails than passes right now), I managed to get cramp for the first time playing IIDX. Hurts like a bitch...

Newest 9's passed are Parasite World [h] and ay carumba [h].

OH. And I finally managed to get a B on Gambol [h].

This is so full of lies... I have so much trouble passing Another 10's on DJ Troopers for some reason. And I sight-read SCREAM SQUAD [H] for the 7-dan course on Happy Sky (Which IO failed directly after to Aurora [H])!! WTF!!!

Shift is definitely the easiest Another 10 on DJ Troopers, and maybe the easiest 10 on DJT including Hypers.

I dunno... fffff was a pretty easy 10. I can clear that one. =3

I was surprised that I cleared fffff [h] in the first place. As for 7th dan HS, I had 8% after Aurora.

Also, on the subject of "clears by the skin of your teeth" I finished 7th dan on DJT with 6% after four pieces of heaven. WOO.

Cleared most of the 9's on DJT and Gold. The only ones left are madrugada [a], Mirage Residence [h], and Spica [h]. I was incredibly surprised that I cleared Ristaccia [h] and Anisakis [h]. I really hate scales.

As for Gold, the only ones left are Watch Out [a] and 2hot2eat [a].

78% smooooch [a] and haven't even gotten close since then. Mildly pissed at that.

Cleared my 2nd 11. Digitank System [a]. No tricks or mirrors, just incredibly lucky that I had 60% after the scratch run.

All in all, an amusing week with BM.

I'm going through all of my older BM IIDX games and playing Dan mode to see how far I can get. So far I'm pretty consistent with 6-dan, so I guess that's my current IIDX standing!

I tell you, in my experience playiing IIDX, you have good days and bad days. Good days are when you (finally) clear hard songs that have been giving you problems for months (Colors on Hyper *cough*). Bad days are when you either fail a song you normally pass (The Deep Striker on Hyper) or you letter score is lower because your timing is off (Mostly with Happy Sky CS timing window). Oh well, I guess this the price of playing IIDX... Now, with that said, time to clear some new 9's and 10's in DJ Troopers. I SOOO want to clear Oratio Hyper pretty soon. The chords are crazy near the end of the song....

Ristaccia Hyper scales are a LOT easier than Spica's IMO. Mirage Residence on Hyper is a tricky 9 and madrugada Another just has tricky scales at the end of the song...

Hard cleared Go Beyond [h]
That part after the chords after that long break used to get me, and I hit 2% in my HC.

Then I played quasar [a] and my game froze. >: (

Cleared Rislim -remix- [a] at 2am with headphones on.

8th dan DistorteD played the crap out of me.

I got 2% on Broadbanded [a]. I nearly ran out the door cheering on the top of my lungs, then realized that it was song 2 in the set. Meter-built So Fabulous! up to nearly 70% and then Ryu* took most of it back very forcefully.

Had a hard-fought battle with Quantum Teleportation... ended up crashing at the last 10 seconds of the song.

I did however clear CONTRACT [h] and wondered why I didn't even try the song in the first place. All that's left of the CG's is Nageki No Ki.

Still can't beat 7th dan Distorted.

EDIT: Passed all of the 9's on DJT. madrugada required a little more willpower but I pulled a 90%+ meter at the end. 78%'ed Mirage Residence twice so I got impatient and Random'd it. I'll pass the original later. DIdn't bother with Spica. Just random'd it and went about my day.

I did however clear ICARUS [h] and four pieces of heaven [h] which was a surprise. I border-bonused the latter.

...I also passed oratio [h]. Took a few tries but the ending fell into place soon enough.

oratio [H] i have passed, and it is a fun song to play! I'm still having trouble with songs like Anisakis [H] and madrugada [A]. I am proud of my sightread of Concertino in Blue [H] i did the other day.
