"Thanks for all your support."
I just checked the new update for DDR 4thMix Plus... and i found out that there are also simfiles from the older mixes... Do they have different stepcharts from the previous mixes (Boys, Stomp To My Beat, Dub-i-Dub etc.)?
Sillybear has already resigned from z-i-v... Sad

I guess the exclamation mark does make a difference as Don't Stop (AMD 2nd MIX)'s zip is 0MB.

Nope, it's cause the S in stop wasn't supposed to be in capitals. Stupid Linux.

Hero remix and Have You Never Been Mellow remix are missing their mp3s as a separate download in the 4th mix category

Again capitalisation errors. Annoyed

Updated Rescue Me and SAY IT AGAIN banners and added SAY IT AGAIN (Ver.2) to the DDR S category. Updated the group banner too.

Is duplication of full simfiles really necessary? The new 4th Plus charts replaced the old Maniac charts on that game, but they could easily be tacked on to the original as Challenge charts (as with Let's Get Down, and even that is duplicated). Same thing with un deux trois, Ecstasy, murmur twins, etc. that received Challenge charts on UM4 and UNI3 (the only reason I can think of to keep them separate is the different graphics, but the ones for older songs were redone several times, so that shouldn't matter) and the Challenge remixes that received full steps UM3-4 and UNI. Those actually retained their original charts on the same difficulties and simply added new ones. Hell, you didn't place Venus in the X category when it received Challenge steps.

The only time it's absolutely necessary is with B4U (B4 ZA BEAT MIX), which has Light-Heavy on EuroMix2 and then a different Light-Heavy in addition to the original Challenge on Universe.

I'd rather save space on my hard drive than have certain charts for the same song on there twice because only one was added or changed.

same procedure are done to older mixes revivals in DDR Party Collection where newer charts are added under the challenge difficulty and the orig stepchart up to heavy diff are retained... i agree with u roy...

there are some simfiles from different mixes downloaded from ziv that have challenge chart with difficulty displayed as 1. Are they official DDR stepcharts? some have duplicate copied from expert charts, others have obviously customized challenge stepchart.

where does Love shine challenge stepchart came from? what DDR series?

The simfiles with an oni rating of 1 shows that the chart is unrated on the game. The Xbox games do not support the Oni diffuclty, so it doesn't give it a rating.

Love Shine's Oni chart comes from DDREXTREME AC by hacking the machine in Nonstop mode.

Just to clarify, the Challenge charts you speak of, were originally the Heavy charts in Euromix 2.

To add to this, Stepmania does NOT support foot ratings of zero. The rating are in the SM file must have a value > 0.

To expand on this: the chart was playable by using the difficulty-transfer glitch, which transferred the difficulties for an adjacent course onto the course you want to play at the cost of not having access to the mods menu. You either had to get an Oni-only song into Player's Best 1-4 or 17-20 and either glitch onto the Random or Love Heart. Read up on it here if you're interested.

Oh, and Say It Again ver.2 shows -1 BPM on the download page.

Midnite Blaze Heavy is mis-rated a 7.
Haha, replacing my files is going to take awhile - I have a bunch of bga timings and extra charts, so I've been comparing each .sm to make sure they start on the same measure. Of course, adding/removing a measure will probably totally screw the movie timing files anyway, but I lost the movies awhile back when my external died. I'm hoping that in my attempts to preserve information, I can help improve ZIV's files too.

I did that all on Friday. Dead Darn backgrounds, but they are worth it.

Yeah, I figure when my friend gets his metal pad back in a few months, I can re-download beware's files and see if the animations work on his computer. (On mine a few songs would lag horribly - I could not pass even the beginning of PSMO because the arrows were responding 1-2 seconds late).

Afronova Max2 has a Singles Beginner chart. Is that supposed to be there? o.o
(It wasn't mentioned in the Missing Beginner Steps topic).

EDIT: Hang on, looks like all the Max2 remixes have a Beginner chart. Where did they come from, cabinet-lighting files?
Also funny, Drop Out Max2's extra descriptions say "Not accessible in Su". Tongue

OK, that makes sense.
B4U (B4 Za Beat Mix) S/D Challenge are misrated 8.

On Burnin' the Floor (Blue Fire mix), my steps for Single Challenge are slightly different. Are they from a different mix?
Measure 7: Last beat, UR jump instead of DR.
Measure 8: Beat 3, U instead of D.
Measure 11: Beat 2, 4 are U instead of D.
Measure 13: Last beat, UR jump instead of DR.
Measure 26: Beat 2, UR instead of DR. Beat 4, U instead of R.

Matsuri Oni Doubles is misrated 8.

EDIT: I like how Ballad For You with the subtitle (Ultramix ver.) doesn't have it in the banner, but the version without the subtitle (SN ver.) does have it in the banner. Laughing Out Loud

Weird about BURNIN' THE FLOOR, as it's directly from the SuperNOVA HDD.

I'll fix the ratings later when I can be bothered.

ddrUK's stepchart generator has the same steps as mine, too. Maybe they changed the steps in Supernova? o.o;
