I'm going to use the Infinitas downtime to complain. That's just what you do!
I was the first person to defend the game's payment model and delivery scheme. So let's talk about what is actually wrong with this game that is worth petitioning over.
Major Issues:
1) Let us foreigners play. Please. Take bitcash or American CCs directly. I ain't asking for a translation or port. Maybe later that might be nice but for now the early adopters can deal with some unreadable text.
2) How about some promises or plans from the director? I'm assuming that the game won't be just $16/mo and that there will be paid expansions on top of that. But why should I assume? Are there going to be expansions? How often? When are you going to add songs next? Is rival support planned? Danitei or Expert courses? Parallel Rotation?
3) This songlist is butt. BM US has a bigger and better songlist. Infinitas should have one exclusive song, 3y3s (long ver), but no one knows how to unlock it yet. Even BM US had some exclusives. I know they're leaving themselves room to grow, but this launch day list of 38 + 4 songs is really bad. The launch should be hype! Give me something to be excited about other than the wait finally being over. What is this shit: 5.1.1., Gambol, KEEP ON MOVIN', FLOWERS for ALBION, airflow, and earth scape. Did they intentionally try to find the most boring songs to start with? Even in the Sirius folder the rule was pretty much "sort by difficulty, take everything rated 7 or 8, and re-add the songs not good enough to be in Tricoro." I do like airflow and London Affairs quite a bit, but the first alpha arguably had a better setlist despite being smaller.
Minor Issues:
4) The launcher should save my login.
5) Please implement Free Mode so I don't have to go through the "card out" screen every 3-4 songs UNLESS I'm playing Standard Mode for a reason. (Extra stages, events, whatever.)
6) When I press ESC to fail out of a song, don't send me to the card out screen. (See #5.) Just reset the stage count like it never happened.
7) Related to #6, how about that quick-restart feature from the later PS2 games? Where you hold down all 7 keys as you quit out of a song and it just restarts from the top?
8) Joy2Key? For reals? Is this a professional release or what? Add joystick support.
9) Bad Maniacs is free and Session 1 -genesis- is nowhere to be found. If this is Sirius CS then why don't we have the default ES/OMES? Or any ES/OMES at all?

Maybe you are right, because they focusing the payment method for Japan in the beginning, and later they introduced the credit card (i believe ...).
And everyone remember: Yeah, the initial version of INFINITAS sucks really hard, but they gonna release some updates for sure ... like more songs and aditional exclusive content (and i hope they don´t charge aditional money for this). Possibly later this game is worth to buy

Apparently, there's a trial version of the game out now (to get more players into this division for KAC? I don't know). Not sure which features will be limited, but at least there's a try-before-you buy option now.

You can't even play on the trial version from what I heard. It just autoplays 5.1.1. Probably can be used to see if INFINITAS can run on your system.

It's just to judge if you can play it on your PC properly, it's intentionally autoplay.

Thx Konami, gud game.
Why call it a "trial version" if it's not even playable? Shouldn't this be more appropriately called a "benchmark test", or whatever Japanese equivalent it's called?
I still don't understand why clicking on the subscription link just refreshes the page to non-Japanese eAmuse accounts instead of giving you some form of error message.

To be fair, the term "trial version" is probably not confusing or misleading to the Japanese community. I think their word for a playable demo would be "free version". The website does make it absolutely clear that this program is only for testing sync/drift and that all it does is play one song on autoplay.
By the way despite my previous post I'm actually pretty happy with the game. There are payment/America issues, there's downtime in the middle of the afternoon, and there are a lot of things I want to see. (And I feel like because I'm paying a sub, I can make those demands.) But the game is solid. It keeps sync and it does what it's supposed to do.

I'll admit one thing: when I played the 2nd Alpha test, I rarely had any lag/sync issues, and the only times I had trouble playing the game was with the default keyboard configuration (which is pretty uncomfortable, personally, especially on the harder songs).
My opinion on the final game in general (at least how it is right now) still stands; granted, you're not supporting Konami if you download the BMS versions of the IIDX series for LR2, but Infinitas is not helping that it is (at the moment) just essentially "LR2 Konami Edition", with no form of features that separates itself from it, let alone other online music games that have been released as far back as 2004 with features that are now considered standard (online multiplayer/battles, customization for misc. items, etc.).

The controller looks beautiful, and I did go to the official project page. Rest assured that this controller is interchangeable between 1P side and 2P side. Konami actually listened to the fans' questionnaire suggestions, well, at least to the most pertinent of suggestions. This project is underway, so get your credit cards and KONAMI IDs ready to pre-order this magnificent controller! This actually ensures a good future with beatmaniaIIDX INFINITAS even beyond e-Amusement CLOUD's service period, as we'd have large physical collateral.

The controller looks... well, eh. Nothing wrong with it, but it's what you'd expect and nothing more. There's no real reason to not stick with the you-probably-already-have-one-if-you-like-IIDX FP7 EMP.
