Just a opinion... the event is a disappointment, the score system and update is confusing and not convincing, is not very probable to win the three songs unless you have 12 fingers, or you start the game since the begin (ticket cost)
I'm actually out of the "get song" range...

A bit late here, but according to Maplia's wiki, the event songs are 5 tickets on all charts you had unlocked prior to the event. If you didn't have a Hard or Master chart unlocked, those are 6 tickets for Hard or 7 for Master. (Standard is still 5 tickets.)

However, if you play them as a friend's Share Song, they cost 5 tickets regardless, plus LE. It's 100 LE the first time per day, 200 the second time, then increasing by 200 each time. This is separate for each friend, so if you have more than one friend sharing the same song, you can play both once each for 100 LE each time. So those of you who don't have a difficulty unlocked can basically spend LE to save some tickets, if you have a friend sharing an event song. And since you earn 10 LE each time someone plays your Share Song, it's probably a good idea to set it to one of the event songs.

Woohoo! Just got an S+ on Binary Overdrive Master. I guess I have this event to thank to make me play it over and over again for maximum event points. This also means I finally got The Epic on my song list now.

It's pretty ridiculous how good you have to be to get into the top 700. I have S++s on 2/4 songs and S+s on the other two and am still dangling in the 720s. I'm going to cross 1.5 million in event points tomorrow morning, so I'll probably stop vying for the top 700 at that point and just be content with getting the other 2 event songs.

Also, I tried the code for Azitate Prologue and What is Wrong Cross Edit and they didn't work, but Make It Fresh did. Was there a time limit or quota for those codes?

There seems to be quite a few people on 2ch speculating that the leaderboards are being flooded with people using alt accounts to practice. I have to wonder, does that count as cheating for an event like this? I skimmed over the terms of service and there doesn't seem to be anything in there prohibiting multiple accounts, and it's still an inferior method to just coughing up money, but it would indeed give you some extra practice for free.

Yes, the codes are time-limited. I don't know when Azitate Prologue ran out, but there was a news post (on the screen that pops up after the Login Bonus screen) saying that the WWWW Cross Edit code would only be valid until January 9.

A new sets of special missions appears now which unlock an exclusive BGM set (Club Mix) after completing 106-8. If I do not have any mods or level explicitly mentioned, then probably they do not have any requirements on them. 106-1 and 106-9 are separate mission line so I spaced them...

It's 10PM JST, actually. The game's programmed to adjust the times to whatever the time zone on your device is set to.

Also, a minor correction for jch02140's list: The requirement for 106-7 is any level 14.0 song, i.e. any of the songs listed above on Standard.

And oddly enough, Z[i] and ロマンシングゲーム are level 28.0 on Standard, but they're not listed in the songs you can play for the mission. (If you clear an event mission then tap it on the mission list, it'll show you the list of songs that can be used for it, if applicable.) Apparently, the requirement is a 28.0 on Hard.

Maintenance has started. Before the game went down, there was a news post saying that the Random Select Festival will return once maintenance is done, with the chance of a secret song increased by 2.5x.

By my estimations, if the secret songs are still available, this would give you about a 0.3% chance of unlocking one per attempt, and an expected cost of about 10,000 yen even per unlock. Probably still not worth the trouble unless your name is Warren Buffet.

One new song has been found in the new Random Select Festival, Grand Arc by Tosh. Difficulties are 21/38/79.

Seems someone on Twitter has discovered that Random is not entirely random due to poor PRNG seeding. (@MH_SCIZ is tweeting a lot about it, but I'm not sure if they're the originator.) Specifically, if you reset if you perform the same series of actions after closing and restarting the app, you'll always get the same result. Here's a recipe to get a free Unlock Challenge:

1. Reset all your options to default. This includes skin and system settings.
2. Close the app. (Double tap the home button. On iOS 7, swipe up on the app's screenshot, on iOS 6, hold the app's icon until a red (-) appears in its corner, then tap the red (-) button.)
3. Start the app. When you get to the main menu, hit OK on the info screen, then tap Music Play without doing anything else.
4. Swipe twice to move left directly to Random and tap it.
5. Hit the Difficulty button exactly 13, 50, or 53 times.
6. Hit Play, and OK to confirm.
7. You should get an Unlock Challenge.

At step 4, you can also move left and right on the song wheel before selecting Random. Subtract the number of extra swipes from the number of times you should press the Difficulty button, and you should still get the same result. This allows you to get an Unlock Challenge on Standard (since 13 hits will put you on Hard, and 50 or 53 will put you on Master).

I've confirmed this myself, by the way.

Thanks for the lineout, I didn't have that song unlocked and neither did any of my friends.

I just tried that method twice and it worked, what an amazing find! Now I don't have to worry about not being able to keep an exclusive song if I ever come across one again.
