Alright, ANOTHER upgrade has been issued.

Version 1.0.4 (03222009)

So I guess this is the first Final version release!

No new songs were added (unless they are hidden) but I imagine there are more bugfixes.

But anyway

Ok then, well it's the same version number, BUT i'm going to take it as the official release date (for now, once there is some website that officially states when it was released, i will update it with that date).

idk if it's a video or a picture, but since i'm at school right now i can't view it >_<

...hey Ashura, do you remember where the DLC songs are in? (As in the Tiers...) if not then it's fine, i labeled them blue for DLC songs anyway =P

Never mind, the video tells me where they are XD

The audio-visual calibration comes with playing a music game that DOESN'T come from Konami and USES AN HD SCREEN. The Wii release of Rock Band has horrible default calibration. But it's not something that needs to be fixed by a game patch, though most likely Activision is going to go the extra mile and make it look like a huge accomplishment. Good going Acti, you set up a Bad Cop Good Cop program for yourself in terms of advertising. You're just gonna make it look like you averted a national crisis aren't you, ya cute widdle thing!

Fucking chill out, DDR X had bad calibration at testing spots if I recall. Yes, the calibration is awful, but you don't need to make it look like they put in HD screens JUST to have it, because that's essentially what you're practically saying with how you say Activision is going to end up handling it.

In other news: different game companies make an Americanized version of a product Konami could have made legitimate American versions of a decade ago! Oh noes ;_;

Ok added the DLC into the Tiers, also noticed that there is a new song that wasn't mentioned with the other DLC songs (Sleeping Giant - Mastodon) so i added that Happy

Going to call my local arcades to see if they have it/plan on getting it/see if they want to get it >_>

Not that it really matters, but that's the same version as 2nd Generation iPod Shuffle Tongue

I'm actually unclear as to whether or not these are test versions or primary releases?

If they're test versions and they're just being licensed out to people without including the right of machine modification, then I can understand why the game is so badly calibrated.

I wasn't targeting Activision on audio-visual lag, I was targeting the arcade owners who don't calibrate them. But if it's just a display permit they're giving out then this is all Activision's fault.

You know I was surprised my arcade got it. They never do any arcade upgrades (seriously, they still have most of the games that were there when I was 4Oops ) .I just really wished they upgraded the DDR machineCry I bet they would of if DDR was still extremely popular

I just realized... When my arcade had its first upgrade in a very long time (like I'm talking maybe 4 years), it was done during the recession.

You would think that these games would come completely calibrated out of the box, but then again a lot of things that would make sense to occur don't happen in this little place we call the world either. Our GH Arcade game is STILL EARLY.

GHAC :/

Why can't Raw Thrills (or whoever assembles the cabinets) set the lag at the factory to save having to recalibrate each machine onsite?

Well let's just hope that they open up a website and also hope that it will have a "Comments/Questions/Concerns" section so that we can stuff their mailboxes with how they intend to fix the lag Tongue

(5/2/09)

Great news and Bad news.

Great news: I FINALLY GOT TO PLAY GH:AC!!! Green Grin

Bad news: It's in Orlando, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure...

...oh well, at least i finally played it! Happy

My thoughts on it:

I actually like it, as a counterpart of it's console version, it's pretty..."unique" The songs were good, and everything that you guys said about the machine is true, there is lag, the controllers are pretty heavy, and yes, $1.00 to play....

...but it was all good though, i had fun playing it =)

Here's the one in Islands of Adventure:
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y161/maxninja/4d12a337697f.jpg

I got the top score on Rock You Like A Hurricane on Hard, but i forgot to take a picture of it Sad

Here's the one in Universal Studios:
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y161/maxninja/47e7e5f86aeb.jpg

...this time, i DID take a picture of my score on Helicopter on Hard:
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y161/maxninja/051278d2150b.jpg

LOL EPIC PWNage Laughing Hard

So overall, it was good, but i wouldn't want to fork over $1.00 to play to beat high scores and stuff...

...i'll wait until Gameworks gets it Puppy Face

Another location is found. At the West Knoxville Mall in Knoxville, TN. This is where I live so I can actually play this anytime now. My impressions: 2 credits for premium songs???? Screw you! It feels weird not having a whammy bar. The syncing feels very off. I haven't played a whole lot of Guitar Hero so I dunno if the syncing is typical of these games. But $1 for 1 song? I won't be playing this a whole lot. If it where 2 songs yeah, I'd hit it then.

Get over it. We are paying $1.50 a song. For a premium song, they had it set to 7x more credits as well, coming out to about $10 a premium song (At the time, the price was even HIGHER which came to $28 a premium song for 2 people)

lol, the thing is, I don't have to play Guitar Hero and neither do you, so there's nothing to get over Smile I can be stupid and pay $1 per song or use that $1 to play DDR. Believe it or not, but the arcade will eventually lower the price to a more reasonable setting once the fresh factor wears off and people stop playing it.
