If we were someone's imagination, you could take our death as that someone's loss of interest in that specific imagination.

What if our conscience is the sub-conscience of another being?

Then our subconscience would probably be the conscience of yet another being, thus making it part of an endless chain of beings and universes.

What if in the future, it turns out that computers were only a temporary fad?

It would be awesome! People would be more social and more friendly with each other.

What if the Industrial Revolution never happened?

I imagine that we would probably be far less advanced technologically, the owners of farms and plantations would probably be the richest groups of people rather than owners of businesses, and worst of all, a bunch of factors wouldn't have happened that eventually brought about DDR and thus, DDR WOULDN'T EXIST!!!

What if humanity had never discovered fire or harnessed electricity?

For the fire part, we would be struggling to be on top of the food chain.
If we haven't harnessed electricity, everybody would be at home come sunset and there would be no DST since that's used to save electrical energy?
