I switched the data type, having it type INT wasn't the best choice lol. I switched it to TINYINT, which allows for -128-128. I will safeguard it to -5 and 5 soon in the code if it repeats itself.

Make sure the safeguard is in the serverside code, not the clientside code. If you have the client sanity checking, your sanity checking is useless.Also, like AnxD, I figured out how to do it, without being told, but chose not to participate (except to check whether I could rate myself low to offset the fake rating).

Not to complain, but my rating seems to have dropped a full 30 points from where it was before this whole fiasco started. Is there still a problem with the ratings, or am I just afraid to see that some people hate me?

No. Many people decided to unrate? people to 0 to see if it would stop the whole thing.

Sometimes I wonder if it would be better if there wasn't a rating system, because then none of this would be happening.
