Just an advance warning, as I'll be making a change to the databases completely merging the songs from all databases (DDR/IIDX/pop'n/GF&DM) into one whole song database so that it's more manageable:

The game databases and score trackers on v4/v5 will be closed for about 1-2 days some time in the next few days for recoding.

Out of pure curiosity, what are you using to host the 7000 GB of data here on ZIV, and how do you manage it all? You must have some room in your house completely devoted to servors and HDD's...?

7000gb? I've barely used that much disk space.

And screw hosting the site myself, I use DreamHost for the servers.

I have a new suggestion I was thinking just like there are thread subscriptions, there should be simfile category subscription (which could also include official simfile categories). There could be a page for reminders that new simfiles are up in a specific category. So does anyone think it could be useful?

Simfile pages have been slightly tweaked:

Doubles Beginner is now supported.
Upload/Update simfile page code has been optimised. Tell me if there are any bugs still lying around.

Bump: Site Agent added for thread and simfile subscriptions for the time being. This page will list the most recent of either your simfile subscriptions or thread subscriptions or all subscriptions on one page if you want.

Blue highlights are only enabled for table rows, it prevents me writing JavaScript for them at least.

I might turn it off or on depending if people like them or not.

I've noticed that we have to manually enter "-1" for the BPM and that the foot ratings are set to "Missing" by default. Is it possible to have "-1" and "None" set to default?

Edit: Crap, another bug. I get the same message as the the last one when I tried to upload my new edits.

(I've re-upped my A edit and that one worked fine.)

About the table row things ...

A table row is defined in HTML as <tr></tr>, if I was to do it in HTML with JavaScript it'd look something like this:

<tr onmouseover="this.className = 'blue';" onmouseout="this.className = '';"></tr>

... on every single row which could take ages just replacing that on every single page.

What's much easier is just to edit the CSS code at the start:

tr:hover {background: <blue background hex value>;}

I can get rid of it if people don't like it.

Understood. I do not see anymore bugs under the Simfiles edit features, so I guess everything's good to go!

Got rid of it already anyway and restored it back to how it used to be. Wasn't too fond of it myself.

maybe another site request is, in simfile search, anyone can search: simfile category, simfile name or simfile artist, maybe is a good idea, because only can search by song simfile name, maybe this is a good idea, maybe not, but i wanted for 5th style =)
