I understand why most were removed, but MATSURI JAPAN (and its brethren), Brilliant R.E.D, and to a lesser extent, Knock Out Regrets's removals made no sense...

Song counts as it stands right now:

DDR X - 352 songs.
DDR SN2 - 356 songs.

I hope there is a fair deal of unlocking to do.

One can only hope, unless Konami's deciding to take the IIDX route from now on with DDR, and basically scrub a song for every one they add...

Define "Scrub."

...as in 'remove', like what they did to Knock Out Regrets...am I one of the few who likes this song?

Dose Sota have anymore songs? Mamaizer and both Star Gate Heaven's is all I can think of.

I can understand BeforU songs getting the cut, but there's some legendary songs in that death list. The only explanation is either they have X edits that need to be unlock, or they are just plain stupid.

We lost Look to the sky, MATSURI.
This big removal reminds of the time of DDR MAX AC, with the only difference that DDR X doesn't includes a great license songlist as well as DDR MAX AC (the x-edits are not enough for me).

So as you can see, the song count fluncuates through out the series. Some of the best mixes in the series
had cuts. So they cut Look to the Sky, so what? If they were cutting stuff like the Trip Machine
series, Paranoia series, the Maxes, Dynamite Raves, etc, I could see a reason to complain. But there's
over 350 songs to choose from, find a new favorite. Pre SN era players had to deal with cuts all the time. Konami
is trying new things, somethings work, somethings don't (music groups in 4th mix) and somethings are just
removed all together (unison mode, linking with IIDX).

I like you point of view.
Sometimes, we need changes.

btw, there's only one thing that I really, really, really expect from DDR X AC

I want to see at least a more difficult song than Trigger in the list of new KOs (for future unlocks).

More info about the edit data. Seems that it's a settable option by the operator and works just like you would think.

Now the question that remains is that if you can upload edits via USB on your PS2 copy of DDR X, does the AC game support edits of all songs? Obviously at somepoint, someone will make a stepmania -> DDR X converter to your USB, will the AC game support editing steps that the console game does not include?

What really confuses me is this.

The songs in X (US) example: Bloody Tears expert is a 9, and on this page it is a 10. Same with venus oni, 12 in X (US) and a 13 in X( AC).

Really, what the fuck? Are they just trying to screw over SM, or are they getting feedback about the re-rating system?

EDIT: bag is a 13? this is the whole point of the re-rating. 14 is easy 10, hard ass 9!
