Wow, this is really surprising. I may have to get this game even if I can't use my metal pad with it.

"DDR-ing regularly again!~"
Just commented on the photo! (Stupid ITG Trolls!!!!) Even though I play ITG and enjoy it, I will always love DDR so much better because their music is more fun, graphics are better, and they're now equal in difficulty.

Well, that's nice! I love the megamixes. oAo The only chance I get to play SUPER SAMURAI with a speed mod, however short. >>

They just totally made up for 2010, and I don't even have the game yet. This will definitely not be a boring mix to say the least, the only thing I am sorta concerned about is WHO stepped the new songs. The X2 stuff I'm not even remotely worried about, but if the HP2/2010 team did the charts for the new songs then we could have a potential problem for a decent portion of the list depending on how bad it is. I ESPECIALLY have my fears for the doubles charts if the 2010 group stepped these as they have zero experience on that front. If it's the HP3/AC group, then we're good to go.

Honestly, what's with all the DDR 2010 hate? Okay, maybe it isn't "the best", but it's still a fun addition to the series! I like they tried new things with each Wii DDR game. Putting sort-of dancing in a game with "dance" in the title twice. Trying new things like that, for people who aren't too fussed about charts, shows effort. At least to me. :/ I don't really know much about these things, but seriously, I think that's getting out of hand.

Now that's not too bad at all! D: I'll be fine with that as long as there's no shock arrows. >>;

Lazy?

They created X2 characters for the game.

Yes, using outfits they were already wearing. Was designing new outfits too hard or what? D8 I'd be more interested in the X2 characters if they bothered to do something different with them.

As much as I agree with you, Fairy, you kind of missed the point. The thing that's most hated about DDR 2010 isn't the inclusion of choreography mode but with the "classic" mode's steps (for Heavy, at least) being generally wonky, clumsy, and unfitting. For Pete's sake, they put 16th note turns/spins in A Geisha's Dream Heavy for no reason other than to add difficulty.

Considering the charts are pretty much the meat of the entire game, if they're shit, you're going to have a VERY hard time making the rest of the game good. Which honestly I don't think it is. That's why it's the only UK DDR I've not bought, and probably will not buy.

Quite honestly, DDR 2010 for the Wii wasn't that bad. If not for this game, I would have never given DDR on the Wii a chance in hell. Some of the harder charts were bad, but many of the charts were fun (Magic Parade, In the Zone, Downtown, Curry Up, etc). And the choreography mode was the best version of this mode in the series so far. DDR 2010 for the PS3 is usually what people are referring to as sucking horribly. Granted, DDR 2010 was definitely a let down after how amazing Hottest Party 3 (which I got after DDR 2010). Now with DDR 2010 + Hottest Party 3, we pretty much have 90% of X2 at home, on the Wii.

Ohh...oh right. That makes sense now then. 8D; I get too carried away. Hearing that, I now understand the want for an Edit Mode. Why would anyone want it when you can't even do green arrows with it? D8; At least the edit in DDR X can't. I wanted to dabble in edit mode, but with only three notes to choose from, becomes boring quite fast.

In order to create new outfits, they would HAVE to pay an artist to design them, and that's a no-no for now. Happy
Besides, it's their first CS appeareance with these outfits, it's not like they're using the same old SuperNOVA costumes.

True, but stilllnrgh. :< Aesthetic things like that mean a lot to me. I was equally upset with the back-dancers in HP4 not getting new outfits when everyone else practically got a makeover. For DDR, I know it's not important, but it is a nice touch. They could put some effort there, too, and still have an all-around great game. D:

Really? D8; I'd like to know how it's done, at least in DDR X CS. OTL I could only ever make red, blue, and yellow notes. D:

For future purchases, Fairy Red, Wii Music would be your best bet.

I really do hope they still retain classic controller support, it's seriously the only way I can pass (old 10) songs. Blushing
If the collaboration artists are really in there, it would be amazing, because Konami's going to get everyone in on the DDR fun. Think about it: you've got core fans with RDA, and younger casuals with top notch (subjective) licenses. Get the older casuals (30-40) who enjoy Just Dance by collaborating with artists from the 80s-90s and you've got a whole slew of people getting the game. Now if only Konami can market the game uber well, I'm worried about the competition Just Dance 3 might have on sales (I'm getting both, but still...)
I just came to say hello.

So, they repeated old megamixes.

Don't you think this would be the last DDR on Wii for N.A.?

Nah, they kept DDR going on PS2 a long time after the PS3 launched so I think they will keep it on the Wii even after the Wii U launches.

I hope the classic controller is compatiable too. I prefer to use the controller to unlock everything and then play with the pad from that point on. The Controller has worked since Hp1 so I have a feeling it will. However in the demo footage it has a notification ststate that the "A or B button" is being pressed....

The megamixs will be nice if they are not a part of the reveals. That would mean that we could get other "hidden" songs.

ddr2010 also had the "A or B are being pressed"

That thing is annoying for big feet.

I hope there is an option to disable that.

I never really play 2010 much. I feel your pain i have size 13 feet and there a pain to play ddr with sometimes.
