Alright, ladies and gents, what would you say about the wii u? Is it worth getting at this point?
I'm just thinking about getting it for smash, but have no idea what else is out there.
Anything cool aside from Mario Kart 8?

I'm actually disappointed there is no WiiU Super Smash Bros. bundle. That would definitely get people to buy the console, especially at holiday.

Still won't convince a lot of people, IMO. One game won't sell a whole console, and aside from Bayonetta 2 I haven't cared at all for the WiiU.

Of course it will, it's done it quite so for the Gamecube and Wii, I just would like it if they did sell it as a bundle so that not only would people get the game, they also get the console along with it.

Although I fear it would cost Nintendo a bit more to make the bundles than just selling the copies of the game standalone, yet I don't see how this would matter if Smash is their main moneymaker and would deeply affect their profits in the long run. I know I would buy a bundle if it ever came out.

I got a Wii U last Christmas and I'm very happy with it. In my opinion, it's the only current gen system that's actually worth a shit right now. Nothing about the PS4 has really impressed me and I still don't have very high hopes for the Xbox One though it seems to have gotten a little better.

Basically all of the games silenttype and PPG mentioned are great. If you're a multimedia person, it's also good for Netflix/Hulu etc. I actually swear by the Hulu Plus app for Wii U because it loads the fastest with no issues whatsoever, whereas the one on my 360 (which is in the same room) tends be pretty pokey a lot of the time.

I have never seen an American forum user use this word before in a sentence.

Anyways, like everyone else said, Wii U is fantastic.

i get the feeling they'll reveal one shortly before the release of the game, at the very least in time for christmas

i mean how great would that timing be right

also, regarding the wii u, if you're planning to buy a current-gen console that's the one to go for. it has the best and most titles for any console this generation thus far. especially the first-party titles, most of them are very good, but all of them are quality and well-made. i can't say the same for other "killer apps" on PS4/XbOne tbh

also, i had an xbox one for around 3-4 months and i could not find one functional/fun game that i even slightly wanted. i got need for speed rivals but imo it's fun for around 5 minutes and then it stops being even slightly interesting. also everything would crash at least 7 out of 10 times while running it. predominantly skype. for 3 months my One was nothing more than a netflix/youtube box. so i finally sold it and bought a 360 again, it has such a great games library. also Wii U is the only current gen console to be backwards compatible with the previous console and that's what i think blows the others out of the water, at least a little bit

tl;dr Wii U is better than most current gen consoles so far. not counting handhelds (even then 3DS is the best one but w/e i don't want to write anymore)

Wonderful 101, Nintendo Land (arguably, the best stuff is multiplayer), MK8, Hyrule Warriors, and probably Super Mario 3D World are the best ones. But W101 was the first to come to mind. If you survive the demo, you need the whole game. Like, need.

Donkey Kong looked really good so we got it and it is so difficult holy fudge. o_o But we have barely any experience with the series.
