There is no other rule it seems. Even a occasional player like me (only 10 credits on 2013...) unlocked all the songs so far without an hitch. On twitter's end I haven't seen any particular mention of a bug, but knowing Konami it's not unthinkable ^^
By the way, a fun thing is that so far you can get all the song by only playing Empathetic (made by Sota, and both in Jubeat and Gitadora)

I'll try Empathetic. I played Sky is the Limit and New Beginning but nothing happened for me. The Elemental Creation bug bit my friend Bombi. He finished the Gakuen event long so but Elemental Creation didn't unlock for him until this new triple journey event started and it unlocked for him along with sola

I just played 5 different Sota songs in one set (4 stages + extra stage) and I got Magnetic right away. I think any 5 songs work, though I haven't tried Empathetic since I haven't unlocked it yet. If that doesn't work, then those bugs must be tough luck.

It appears that DDR's getting a song from jubeat by Nanako today. The song could be Queen's Paradise, うらもからだも落花微塵, or フー・フローツ.

DDR seems to get something every other day. jubeat gets something every three days, and I can't discern a pattern with Gitadora yet.

By the way, if some people are wondering about how to unlock Nanako's song, the hint was the "numbering" spell of her name 7-7-5, so you need to play 3 songs with that same difficulty level
Also, Silver Spirit, I think things will "calm down" for DDR later (I guess all 3 machines will get the same number of songs, DDR can't be the only one stealing all the show)

as for DDR songs going to jubeat, I hope Konami will include some songs from the older versions of DDR as well as some DDR 2013 songs. I want TEARS, and nightbird lost wing to be included on jubeat.
