What software do you use to create those backgrounds?
If you use Photoshop, look for this setting, and then pick something other than None:
If you use GIMP, look for something similar to this:
If you use Paint.NET, try this:
I like your "sunny side street" background.
Oh and I probably should post a pic so here's one:
I like the positioning of my ITG banner more than my DDR one, so that gets here.

The first one looks really good. Only thing I can say is the way the text is displayed in the background is kinda weird. I kinda like it without the overlapping textbox. Reminds me of Last Message.
That being said I wish I could make graphics like this without having the text/font looking out of place or having a low quality image to use for the background/banner.
