That's a very good post, please stick around and continue to make more good posts
With the advent of X3, licenses were distinguished from KOs, with this, some songs had "changed roles", by that I mean some songs went from being classified as licenses to being classified as KOs and vice versa.
I think the change was more to do with how Konami present the songs to the players. Stealth and Switch were big deals for Konami, because they'd managed to bring in one of the biggest music producers in Japanese pop history, to write songs for them. Daisuke Asakura's name had to go front and centre, because they knew it would get the attention of music fans, and lend some extra credibility to the series. The same goes with Trust, because the best way to present them it is to say 'Hey! Here's Gurren Laagan, now a little bit of Gurren Lagaan is in DDR! Come play!".
They could have labelled all three songs as Konami Originals, because Konami own the music and the recordings, but since most people still see the Konami songs to be padding or filler, it makes no sense to bury away a song like Trust or Stealth in the KO catagories, instead of pushing them as exciting licenses.
By the time DDR X3 rolled around, Konami had already worked on Sound Voltex, and realised that the nature of the music industry was changing. It was no longer as simple as 'we license popular commercial songs and then make some of our own', because the most popular songs in Bemani were no longer commercial songs, but douijin songs. The distinguishment now seems to be 'songs that we own completely' and 'songs we don't own'?
As far as Let The Beat Hit Em Classic R&B goes, the only other explanation I can think of is that there was some confusion due to it appearing as a preview song in DDR Extra Mix (a CS game using the 4th Mix engine) right before it's first official appearance in DDRMAX?

Thanks for the feedback, you make some pretty good points about those three songs. The real question now is...wtf is up with La Bamba? If we can figure out who this "Mexican Folk Song" artist is, we may get some insight on why the La Bambas have switched roles. From what the remywiki says, the artist is speculated to be TOMOSUKE since he was the sound director of Mambo a Go Go. If that were the case, it wouldn't make that much sense since TOMOSUKE is a well known BEMANI artist and you'd think it'd be a KO. From what I've gathered from the internet, the song is public domain so there's no need for it to be licensed unless "Mexican Folk Song" claims most of the rights to the Extreme/Mambo a Go Go version. The only other reason I can think of is that the first renditions of La Bamba were instrumental so maybe those aren't PD while versions with lyrics are PD but this is highly unlikely. If anyone is able to clear this up that would be great. The PD issue might also apply to Jupiter.

You have a misconception of what "Public Domain" means. The song, La Bamba, is in public domain, but the performance of that song, which is it's own arrangement, IS copyrighted.

I know how PD works and I know that certain arrangements of PD songs can be copyrighted, that's why I wanted a clear up. All I wanna know now is why the Extreme version is a license and why the SuperNOVA version is a KO instead of the other way around. I know that the SuperNOVA version was made directly by Konami via LH MUSIC CREATION, and that the Extreme version is a BEMANI crossover from Mambo a Go Go by whoever "Mexican Folk Song" is. As for Jupiter, the artist "PLEIADES PRODUCTION" seems to be a guy named DJ MOSH, I can't find much info in this guy except for this Indian man who may or may not be the same DJ MOSH. This just leaves Till the lonely's gone, if anyone has some insight on that song, feel free to speak your mind. I apologize if I sound like I'm repeating myself.

References on DDR X's Extra Stage Methods:
DDR 1st Mix - AA a song before the final stage.
1st Mix is the first DDR game to feature an extra stage. If you get S or A (can't recall properly) on
, you get an extra stage on
difficulty
DDR 2nd Mix - AA Paranoia Max but it should be chosen via random
You can play the original Paranoia's steps in Paranoia Max if you're lucky enough to encounter said song via random in 2nd Mix
DDR 3rd Mix - Go inside DDR 3rd Mix folder, step LLLRRRLR and AA a song under 3rd Mix folder.
LLLRRRLR is the code used to enter SSR Mode in DDR 3rd Mix. However, this code originated in DDR 2nd Mix. DDR 3rd Mix also uses the select buttons to access SSR while 2nd Mix uses the foot panels.
DDR 4th Mix - Pick Jenny or Yuni as your character and AA a 4th Mix song.
Jenny and Yuni first appeared in DDR 4th Mix.
DDR 5th Mix - AA an Xmix song.
DDR 5th Mix have long version songs. These use two stages. Xmixes also do the same in DDR X Arcade.
DDRMAX - AA On The Break with x1.5 and Reverse modifiers on.
DDRMAX's extra stage is the first of its kind to be in x1.5 and reverse.
DDRMAX2 - AA a set of challenge-only songs.
DDRMAX2's Oni mode have songs with only one difficulty:
. These were playable outside of Oni Mode by DDR Extreme
DDR Extreme - AA a set of the ff. songs: Paranoia Survivor Max, Sakura, Maxx Unlimited, Max 300, The Legend of Max.

One of the unused characters from the beta version of DDR Ultramix appears in Keep Ya Body Movin's banner and background. She appears in the bottom right of the background and to the right in the banner. (Don't have images because copy and paste is being a butthole to me) The character I'm talking about is blond with spiky hair, and for some reason her pants are sagging and you can see her panties.
Also Nurse Zukin from the beta DDR ULTRAMIX is alternate costume for maid zukin in DDR ULTRAMIX 4.

Hm....yeah... I don't think her pants are actually sagging. They're just colored close to her skin color.

Well, I dunno how to describe it, one side is like, going down her waist while the other isn't.https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/4/40823/1620735-ddrultramix.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.giantbomb.com/dance-dance-revolution-ultramix/3030-4204/&h=2454&w=2266&tbnid=EjLOql13xNFEPM:&docid=YDZwHPFToadB3M&hl=en&ei=MO6CVrzpNszUmwHQhKP4Cg&tbm=isch&client=safari&ved=0ahUKEwi8wYa49YHKAhVM6iYKHVDCCK8QMwggKAUwBQ

The orginal Ultramix had an E, in fact, you can its ESRB rating in the ESRB website, it is till there. They did rate the orginal beta for DDR Ultramix that was going to be on the PC that included the character I was talking about.

If I remember correctly, "20 november" was mispelled as "20 novermber" in one of 5thMix's Bank Data Blocks.

I'd hate to to bump this thread but I found something interesting.
Is it me, or do the ant-enna animations in some songs like PUT YOUR FAITH IN ME and Silent Hill resemble Flik from A Bug's Life?

uh yeah okay.
on DDRMax US if you finish the Credit games you see the song credits as well.
Even if you don't have those songs unlocked it will show no matter what.
This was later fixed in later DDR games. When you unlock the song the credits show as well.

There are just three songs that are unlocks in both DDR EXTREME 2 and STR!KE; PASSION OF LOVE, SEDUCTION, and TOMORROW. Every other unlock in STR!KE is either a BEMANI crossover or an ULTRAMIX2 transplant.
