The Official DDR Accomplishments Thread (Read first post, NO STEPMANIA OR ITG)

Got two more today. Even though these are both 13s, I liked them both because they are nice and twisty, especially the single chart. It is slow enough that you could double step parts of it to a PFC maybe but it just flows much nicer when you do all the turns and twists.

Getting close to 1500 and I may be even close if I am missing counting any of my old AAAs, maybe from Max/Max2 (esp. ones I might have done later)...but I am probably up to date on all that. Still, I don't know if there are enough songs left for me to do right now that will get me to 1500.

So I was playing SN2 today, and it looks like I never have two good days in a row. Last time I played I was passing some 15s easily enough, today I just wasn't up for it. Since I couldn't really play anything higher than a 13 today I played mostly for PA. The usual, a few new SDGs, AAs, improved old scores, then this happened..



Yep, another flag. I got pretty excited near the end since I thought I was going to PFC this on a sightread but yea, I choked. Maybe I'll get a new PFC before Halloween, maybe I won't. I've got 2 flags and 17 other SDGs to work on but I doubt I'll be able to, finding it hard to focus on timing lately

Oh, and at one stage I got bored and just started aiming for only greats. DFC ftw!

If I get really bored some time I might try for all greats on a song like that. It's actually pretty tricky to force yourself to step so early on all the steps, you have to fight the urge to step in time with the music

AFC's are very straightforward to get if your PA is bad (like me, lol). On the other hand, you usually have to actively attempt to get any BFC's or lower.

On a side note, DFC's become very easy on an offsync game (*coughEuropeanX2cough*), or if, on a CS game, you purposely throw off the timing sync that's supposed to account for display lag.

But yeah, if you want to try for a low-score FC, go ahead! It'll be entertaining for sure!

You guys like great attacking? I was a big fan back in the day.



I stopped doing it in X2 cause if you want extra stage, it's impossible without AAing all songs. I suppose I could start trying them again in X3 now that I think of them. I have other GFC's from back in the day.

That is seriously amazing. You can pretty much at this point just control what kind of score you want to get at this point Dr. D, that is so cool! Have you ever gotten a Good full combo with your score at 0? XD

A Good full combo is almost impossible to pull off; its difficulty ranks close to a Ridiculous full combo in Stepmania. That's how small the window is for precisely a Good, at least in MAX1 - X1. (A Great full combo's difficulty is somewhere between a PFC and an MFC in terms of timing windows.)

I don't know if they extended the Good window in exchange for removing the Almost window in X2 and beyond, though.

Ya a Good Full Combo is nearly impossible. Even the challenge on DDR Universe to pull of a all good combo on Spin The Disc for the 16th streams was almost impossible to do and took me nearly two hours of trial and error, and that was for only like 10 arrows.

You also need to find out if the timing window overlaps like it does in DDR Universe 3. The challenge in that game is almost identical but the Good and Marvelous window overlap so it is impossible to clear supposedly. I think one gamer on x360achievements tried for 1000G for months and never could because that one mission was supposedly impossible.

ANYWAYS I played today as expected. I ended up working more then playing DDR (like I almost never played DDR actually!) we were SUPER busy and one of the owners wasn't in. Only one person challenged me which was Sword. We did a classic 1P Pick -> 2P Pick -> Random for the challenge. First stage was Xepher Oni. Ended with 6 Greats, Sword got 14 I think? Second Stage was MAX 300 SMMM Expert. I sucked ass acquiring 20 something Greats, Sword got 6 Greats and 1 Almost, 1 Boo and 1 Miss, and I played the chart like 3 times in my life lol. 3rd Stage was Morning Glory (WOW WHAT A RANDOM!). We both had 1 Great until the middle and then Sword suddenly dropped two Greats in a row which killed his chance at a $50 gift card as I ended with only the 1 Great. It was still fun to do a small event with a friend with money on the line, even thought it wasn't my money hahaha.

Afterwards I played some Doubles after work. Only played a few rounds and I shared a couple with Sword so probably only 5 rounds total. Still managed to snag three new PFC's though.

Assuming I do get off work at 5ish tomorrow I am going to try to snag 5 more. Picked out 5 dumb easy ones I could get.

Do note that AC PFCs are quite a bit harder than CS PFCs. (To get a vague sense of the difference without an actual arcade machine around, compare Stepmania's Judge 5 and Judge 6.)

Now what makes you think I don't have what it takes? Even though I've played console DDR most of the time I can adjust quickly. I think it would be a good match. Plus it would be fun. But I don't wanna get too off-topic here. lol.

Please don't be full of yourself and boast how good you are. Yes, you are a good player, but we have to remember Kon is one of the world's best DDR players and has countless amounts of AC PFCs. AC versions are really different than home versions in my opinion because you have to worry about the pad being constructed differently, the timing itself, and the volume of other cabinets. But again, you're a good player, please don't let this bother you, just be humble when it comes to skill around other please.

Well anyway, I thought I should contribute to this thread anyway. Unfortunately, this may be my last time ever playing in Japan. I had so many great memories of playing DDR X3, and I think it made my stay in Japan more enjoyable than I could ever imagine. I owe it to these great music games for my entertainment during my stay, and it's going to be very, VERY hard to leave them. With this I thought I should finally overcome some borders that I won't be able to do in America (because I'm moving there) and I guess I'm happy enough with the results.

Valkyrie Dimension CSP pass. I know, BS score. I could most likely get this to a C if I ever got the chance to play it again.


888 CSP pass. I was already still tired from Valkyrie (need to work on my stamina ) so I just BS'd this one as well. Again, sorry for the horrible score.


アルストロメリア (walk with you remix) 2g. I really wanted to PFC this, but obviously I couldn't in the time given.


Everytime We Touch 2g. I know, it's embarrassing to not get a PFC, but it was the first song of the day.


Now onto cooler stuff I guess? Possession ESP 94%. I wish I got an AA, but I guess I have a lot of room to improve on, haha.


PFC #3, Theory of Eternity ESP. I was pretty happy when I got this, it took 3 tries to get it. Any PFC is awesome I guess, I was really happy about this one. Now onto my MA, because the Marvelous count sucks on this one.


Something that I got a few days ago (on my birthday, woohoo). This was a surprisingly BAD run actually, but somehow I guess my bad run equated an AA on Roppongi Evolved Ver. A ESP. Along with that my brother celebrates his B on the picture. Tried to FC it, but tripped up before the streams.


Sorry for my lengthy descriptions, but I really am going to miss playing DDR X3. It was some of my best memories in Japan and I really want to remember them.

@Parafox I was boasting? Oh no, I wasn't trying to. lol. You took it the wrong way. I was saying that I can adjust from CS's to AC's if I wanted too. I don't know. I guess I have to be careful how I say things. lol. Trust me, I'm nowhere near as good as Kon and I'm the first one to admit that. And of course he's one of the world's best! lol. All I was saying is that it would be a good, fun match since I have SOME skill (again, not trying to boast). And I'm very considerate of other people's accomplishments too. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

BUT ANYWAY, sucks that you had to leave X3 behind Parafox. At least you got to play it. I'm not so lucky. The closest one to me is in Michigan. But there's no reason to go there. lol. And congrats PFCing Go For The Top Silverahawke! I already adore that song. lol.
