I have to be honest here, i have NO idea who these people are except for Vanilla Ice. Can someone please give me some examples from these artists? Maybe they might either trigger a long, lost, forgotten music nostalgia that i have kept away deep within the depths of my mind, or if it just sounds good and is a good addition to the song list of DDR II, i would be fine either way Puppy Face

I second that, I have no idea who these artists are.

Also, just because they are hidden in BOOM BOOM DANCE's webpage does not mean this is Reveal 5, people are jumping the gun here...

Maxi Priest is the most famous. He had a bunch of songs you probably couldn't name, but will recognise the moment you hear them.

Everyone else is a one-hit wonder

Lisa Lisa is nobody.

Kathy Sledge was part of a band called Sister Sledge, who have two really famous songs (He's The Greatest Dancer and We Are Family)

Tiffany sung "I Think Were Alone Now", which wasn't as successful as the cover version by Bus Stop.

Shanise sung "I Love Your Smile", which is kind of famous. Sh

Limahl sang the original version of Never Ending Story, which I can't imagine anyone who plays DDR has ever heard.

Stacey Q is nobody.

Starship is a terrible band. They sung "We Built This City"

This is worth saying a thousand times. I think the only assumption that we can draw from this is that we're more likely to get "Naoki feat. Tiffany", because that was strongly hinted at months ago, from the clues given by Naoki. Even before Boom Boom Dance was announced, a lot of people guessed that Naoki's collab would be with Tiffany.

The reason these names appear in the website code is so that when you google "Tiffany" or "Vanilla Ice" in conjunction with any phrase used on the BBD website, the BBD website is more likely to appear near the top of google's search results. They might just be licenses used in the game.

"."
Third.

I've never heard of them.

Append: Even with Tyma's post I don't know them.

I fucking LOVE Stacey Q! Anyone here seen the episode of It's Always Sunny when Frank pimps Dennis? He was stripping to this song.

Maybe in England but here in America it was her against Debbie Gibson for the title "Queen of the Mall" pop artist.
I don't play simulators. Only the real official games.

Only the Maxi Priest and Vanilla Ice songs are in the game. We don't know whether you'll need to unlock them.

All of the artists being talked about except those 2 are just wild theories. Nobody has said anything about them being in DDR II.

wtf, usually an ITG2 with r21 is the center piece of an arcade.

This is not my experience. Where have you seen this to be the case?

Like Tyma said, most of these people were one/two hit wonders in the 80s and 90s, but it's not like you could expect them to get truly famous artists.

Tiffany is probably best known as the "mall girl" more than anything else, as her tour and many of her music videos would take place inside of malls. She was a flash in the pan, but not a one-hit wonder. She scored two number 1 singles in the US as well as two other top-10 songs. Tiffany's first album also went number 1 in the US. She's also had three songs in recent years that have placed on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart.

Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam had two number 1 singles in the US as well as four other top 40 hits.

Kathy Sledge's current solo song "Give Yourself Up" is actually in its third week on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart, sitting at #23 right now. As Tyma mentioned, she also scored some hits with Sister Sledge, although no number 1 songs (highest was We Are Family which peaked at #2)

Shanice has scored four top 40 songs in the US.

Limahl is probably the least famous of the bunch, only scoring one top 40 hit in the US, at least solo.

Stacey Q scored two top 40 hits in the US, including "Two of Hearts" which peaked at 3.

If Starship=Jefferson Starship, then they are very successful. They had three number 1 songs and over 10 other top 40 hits.

To put some of these things into perspective, Justin Bieber has not yet landed a number 1 hit song, his highest song, Baby, peaked at #5.

Probably an arcade where the employees plays ITG. (Namco Timeout in The Orleans in Las Vegas says hi)

I guess they're doing this event in Montreal because it's near J-Mi? Hard to imagine that many people will show up. Los Angeles is an epicenter of BEMANI players to be honest.

I think they just held it to have one in Canada. I'm surprised it isn't in Vancouver BC or Toronto though.

there is no apostrophe in "gets" seriously what is with bad grammar spreading like an awful disease in this effing language yes this is a run on but agh
How many notable parties has Konami had...? I only recall that one for the 2010 game, so one can't really say any place gets gypped of attention yet...

Except the Midwest because we get gypped of everything. </obvious bias>

And wow, this game really is coming out soon. Everyone please share everything about this game for the cheapskates who don't wanna buy it until later. xP
... starting with what characters are available, because it was probably otherwise the lowest on most priorities lists.

J-Mi & Midi-D confirm they will be there.

Too bad Montreal isn't Los Angeles.
