Argh, bit of a rant, but they really should change the system for the location test.
Having only one machine for IIDX is stupid (when reflec, jubeat, museca, etc... have at least 2 machines)
Thanks to it, despite being one of the first in line, I got the number165 when actually only 130 people can play it.
Hence, I won't be able to play it.
I will go look at it, but I really wanted to go back home (lots of disappointed people around me too)

The overall UI is looking like Lincle a lot (overall pretty)
And as expected the new shakunetsu another is a scratch festival (on par with the first shakunetsu in terms of difficulty)

The turntable has always been a nuisance to me.

It's already been made clear that the theme revolves around trains and copula is probably a portmanteau of words that haven't been made clear yet. I'm sure it's a coincidence.

Copula is Latin for "link". Trains link people. Its pretty simple really.
I really like the flavor of Spada being about the past, Pendual being past and future, and Copula being the future.

Pendual is Present and future actually.

Um, this may be off topic in a sense that it's not aimed at Copula, but more at IIDX itself. What are your thoughts on it? Should I get it? I know there are games for the ps2.

If you can get one of the Japanese games, yes. If the EU/US Beatmania is your only shot, fuck no.

The EU Beatmania was a 5-key game for PS1, so that's really not part of the question.

Beatmania IIDX US is fine for a starting point. Just aknowledge most JP games are better. It was the first mix I purchased and now I own all but a select few of the foreign games.

If you don't have access to imports, LR2 is a simulator that is a good, cheap way to play. There are plenty of high quality custom charts you can play as well as some files that you can find yourself. Here's a guide on how to set it up.

In any case, for Nexxz, I recommend you get the Japanese games; the US version is nowhere near as good as the original JP games. I hope you have a CRT TV too, otherwise, with an LCD/LED TV that can't perform damn-near instant upscaling, you'll be in for a laggy experience which won't bode well with gameplay. Buy the Konami Official Controller ($115+)...I recommend the Japanese controller although some people will recommend the US one. My JP controller is almost 10 years old (and yes it's modded) and still works perfectly to this day.
