I don't think people should be given a bad rating for sharing ideas unless they are unnecessary to the topic.
Something like saying 'Let Them Move is an awesome song and I'd love a revival or remix!' shouldn't receive bad rep even if it is a little crazy or goes against others opinions. It's well presented and doesn't offend anyone.
Saying 'Let Them Move is awesome and your all IDIOTS if you don't like it!' on the other hand WOULD deserve a drop in rating. It's opinionated and insulting.
At least that's the way I always thought the system was meant to work.
