There are many different ways to review. Who gives a fuck if someone doesn't like gimmicks? If they don't like them, then they don't like them. You're pretty much telling us how you want people to review the files. They don't have to do it your way, sorry sport.

Getting technical, objective is something that is inherent to that thing, that can't be changed and obviously everyone agrees on it.
If simfile judging was objective, I'll put those simfiles thru a program and it'll spit out ratings for them and then we don't need on stuff like this.

We have this voting round because simfile judging is of course subjective.

Hey, I don't wanna start an argument, and I don't wanna impose my point of view either, I'm just making a point.

I'm aware of that too. I can understand my previous post feels egocentric (I hesitated a long time before posting it).
It's just I think things feel more pertinent when there's a little justification behind one's vote. I do enjoy when someone write a comment on one of my files, be it positive or negative. And I think most people here feel the same.
But I prefer a comment like "This pattern feels weird" or "too many crossovers, ruins the chart" than a comment like "I don't like crossovers, ruins the chart."
Criticism always help.
I didn't enter the contest to get noticed or to win anything. I just thought it was a good opportunity to have other steppers' opinion on my files because I never really received any feedback.
Of course it takes time to review files, and it's not a problem if one's doesn't have time to carefully look at 10+ files each week.

Yes, I care about just the chart itself. Are BPM changes/stops/whatever part of the charts? Yes, they are.
Even if I dislike a song (an example of this week would be Fantastic Love (DJ White Star Machine Mashup)), I just rate depending of how much I enjoy a chart.

My preferences are my preferences, some people like really hard charts, some others don't. Same with gimmicks, mines, etc.

If I don't write reviews for every file is just because English is not my first language, and it takes me a while to write a throughly review. However. you can just PM me for a review of your file, much like others have done since like, ever.

-I'm also not a fan of too many gimmicks when it comes to pad simfiles =P
-As AkihiroIIDX said, Blinded_No_More's 'Hamsin' seems to be off-sync. And so does ddrstepper's 'Move For Me (Beat Juggle)'

I played Hamsand today and didn't notice any sync errors while playing it. Is your global offset set to 0.0000?

It is. Perhaps I'm playing with timing windows too strict?
In any case, those two simfiles' offsets do feel a bit late to me - it's more noticeable with assist tick on.
Is anybody else experiencing this?

Nothing on my end, files seems to be synced correctly. Timing window could be the issue, otherwise im not sure.

ALSO, I have to appologize to Nuneez. The bpm that MixMeister gave me for ユメのなかノわたしのユメ was 158.5 so i shoved that in, and just synched the VERY beginning, so I didn't realise it was the wrong bpm. It should of been just 158... which is why you probably thought *it was weird to do*. Again, sorry .

And... I thought people learnt how they're supposed to set up their graphics from the last few contests... A lot of square banners appearing instead of the 256x80 or other varients.

the graphics were probably retitled, but not in the .sm files, so they popped up square on 3.9 or whatever. At least that's what happened with mine.

Also, doublecheck those totals for the voting, I think some of them might be wrong.

Some notes:
Nuneez, be careful when charting not to make the player face left or right too much, keep it a little more balanced. Other than that, nice job.
Lisek, that was an interesting take on a rather soft song, very enjoyable.
Azn_punk_07, those bpm changes were a nice touch. At first I thought they might be too much, but I got used to them quickly.
