I actually want Paula Terry back as announcer. All announcers say "(multiple of 100) combos!" whenever your combo hits a multiple of 100. Not Paula Terry. We know when you hit 100 combos because it will tell you in the center of the screen. The announcer doesn't need to address it.
I actually feel more special when the announcer says the combo count... trying to break personal combo records and all (though it's silly to include specific ones past 1k).
I also felt robbed that both times I got 1000 on Extreme AC, I never got that one announcement. ;>_>

On that note, when are the X announcers going to stop saying TEN HUNDRED COMBOS when we break the thousand barrier?I also felt robbed that both times I got 1000 on Extreme AC, I never got that one announcement. ;>_>

Don't fuck Europe over again.
Don't fuck anywhere besides Asia over again, rather, although having an international release being different from the Japanese one won't solve the problem either. Good thing Konami scrapped Betson; sticking to importing is best, after all.

At this point they need to offer a trade in program for old 573 cabinets. Every single public DDR machine is in such a state of disrepair that I would never want to play a new mix on them, it would destroy the experience.
Let arcade owners send back the cabinets(or at least the kits) and get credit towards a totally new and well built, this time machine.
Let arcade owners send back the cabinets
^^This times ten. And bring back e-amuse support to go along with it.

I agree, more beats with a little more steps perhaps, It would be crazy enough to do but also a good challenge!

I thought I read somewhere that Dance Dance Revolution was dead? or is this a lie? My friend told me that DDR died because X3 didn't have a whole lot of new songs in it.

This is not the thread for that discussion.
I also would like to see a purple theme next DDR mix. IIRC, we haven't had one.

That would be interesting. I imagine something like Replicant-D-Action, but for the entirety of the game.

I'd actually would like to refine the flashing BPM concept a bit. For songs 100BPM or lower, it's 100% white; songs that are 101-200BPM would be displayed in (BPM-100=% shade of yellow) (i.e. 150BPM would be 50% white and 50% yellow), and 201-300BPM would be displayed in shades of between yellow and red (i.e. 250BPM would be orange; 50% yellow, 50% red, 0% white) and of course any song 300BPM and over would still be 100% red (RGB 255,0,0).
Songs BPMS that fluctuate won't have a flashing or pulsating effect (and will still cycle between min. and max. BPMs like almost every DDR game) but will dynamically change shades of white, yellow, and/or red in real-time. Songs that have a constant BPM will flash or pulsate in their respective BPM. The BPM's background should be a pulsating speaker (this idea would of went well with DDRX, IMO), like that one rendered BG in X2 which the speakers pulsate to the beat. The higher the BPM, the more violent the "pulsation". So slower songs (under 100BPM) would barely even make a tap, and faster songs' BPM display would not only puslate, but "rattle" or "boil" as well. This would reflect a Boss song's intensity FAR greater than simply displaying a static "400BPM" with no special effects. In fact, many 400BPM Boss songs are actually 200BPM, so songs like "Across the Nightmare" actually sound more intense than say, "Anti-Matter" or "New Decade". So simply listening to a song's BPM isn't enough to represent how fast or difficult a song REALLY is.
Like I said before, this new BPM representation concept would give casuals a better idea of what they're up against.
And of course there should be the option to turn it off if it becomes a distraction.
Since DDR is now presented in 16:9 widescreen IIRC, there should be no excuse to not create a new live BPM display, even if it's on the far-right side of the screen where nobody would look.
The live, color-cycling BPM concept should apply to both AC and CS games.

Yeah. I would definitely like a purple theme DDR mix. I would also like to see more Dance Maniax and Beatmania IIDX crossovers.

What effect would you do for Extra Stage songs where the BPM is purposely hidden and just goes schizophrenically between 111 and 999 BPM?

Dirty Androids. ANY of his songs, but especially Miami Sunset Drive and Golden Palms.
That would be lovely.

ffs = for fucks sake
You must be at least this qwesome to ride.
I'd like to see a gui that changes slightly between each stage or each day, to keep it from becoming monotonous.
