Timezone George St, Sydney Australia, just got it's machine today.
The software version is 1.0.4 March 24 2009 20:15. Can anyone confirm this is the latest version?

...ok i can clearly see that it's been out
Ok, locations will be added
BUMP: Updated the first post with some of the DLC songs that Ashura96 mentioned...
I am still amazed at the fact that it's been released, yet no website or advertisement anywhere about this game...
...makes organizing the timeline of DLC and release hard for me

The indoor minigolf place (not sure of the name) in the Martinsburg Mall of Martinsburg, West Virginia had a Guitar Hero arcade cab. I didn't actually play it, I was more interested in the DDR machine located just outside, so no additional details.

Damn, there's already local tournament qualifiers for this game happening in my area.
Who ever wins is gonna be in some national competition I guess.

For those wondering, the same place that contained the DDR X dedicab silent testing has a Guitar Hero AC cabinet as of 3-25-09-- this place is called Hollywood Arcade Park located in Crestwood Illinois.
The 2nd location is the same place that had the original Arcade cabinet location testing for the US back in November 2008. This place is called AMC City North 15 Cinema located in Chicago Illinois. The machine has been there as of 3-04-09. Hope this information adds on to the list of location.

Hey Ashura, can you try and see where the DLC songs are located at (as in which Teir they are located in) also try and see if you can get any more info about this tournament your area is having...
Much thanks

There's a GH machine in two or three casinos down at the Strip. Circus Circus has one in its Midway Arcade.
The idiots are charging a full dollar for ONE song. It's nice that you get the WHOLE song instead of a game mix, but still, at least give us two, who cares if it's a really mainstream game?
Also, they never calibrated the HD video lag, and the strum timing is so off I have to hit the notes a full quarter second early. It will take it if I hit it to the music, but just barely since Guitar Hero HAS NO TIMING SYSTEM!!! For ONCE, the fact that GHRB DOESN'T grade you on WHEN you hit the note in relationship to when it's SUPPOSED TO BE HIT WORKS IN MY FAVOR...
-_-* Anybody sensing my frustration here?
Anyway, when I wasn't playing ITG or DDR, or maybe Ghost Squad, I was over there trying to beat the hell out of the hardest songs on Expert.
Who strums both ways instead of just down? *raises hand*

*raises hand too* Makes it easier for those compressed notes =P
Anyways, do you know the specific location of these machines? Also, do you know if they have the DLC songs on there? (check first page for the list of DLC songs).
I SERIOUSLY need to find a GH:AC cabinet here in Tampa, just so that i can try it out and to give my opinion about it.

Well... when I said "the strip" I meant Vegas, I hope you know...
Circus Circus is impossible to miss. It's got the coaster nearby a creepy giant clown. Just look for the Midway arcade, which is an open air second floor room with a stage in the middle. But... if you need an exact address.
Circus Circus Las Vegas Hotel and Casino 2880 Las Vegas Blvd S. Las vegas NV 89109
Aaaaaaand a link to the main page: http://www.circuscircus.com/?CMP=KNC-Google-CCLV_Corp
As for DLC, yeah, I'm pretty sure, because I was playing Almost Easy on Expert and freaking people out. I warn you though, the sync ratio is REALLY REALLY OFF!!! It's just AWFUL!!!

I like the not-being-judged-on-timing thing because it makes Star Power a more interesting mechanic (as well as optimal scores), but really only when whammying is possible >.>
Screen needs to be synced to music asap in an update. This is just silly.

The guitars are unusually heavier also. Does anyone know why?

I think it's a much more heavy plastic.
I like it, makes it fell like a real guitar

I guess it's also to make it harder to break. Also does the cabinet have online compatibility to receive new patches? I forgot to check when I was at the arcade.

lol, I had a bad impression of the neck straps. Ours at the casino weren't adjustable, and they were twisted and bunched. I was wearing it like a 2nd grader's shirt. In the end I just held it in my arms like I was sitting down (even though I had nothing to sit on...).
Yeah, after two tries, I got the timing down. But most of the little 9-11 year olds who played too much would attempt hard or expert and not know why they were losing and I was winning. They'd say "It's broken." drop it, and walk off. I never saw anybody strum both ways either. They were looking at me as I was doing it and I could tell by the look of some soccer mom's face that she was thinking "You can DO that?!"
lmao, the kids at my school (we have a donated PS2 and GH 1-3 that we use during breaks) used to think it was impossible to strum up. Now they're all learning from me... It goes to show you how stupid kids are. I mean, "logical conclusion-much?" Total "DUH!" moment, imho.
The audio-visual calibration comes with playing a music game that DOESN'T come from Konami and USES AN HD SCREEN. The Wii release of Rock Band has horrible default calibration. But it's not something that needs to be fixed by a game patch, though most likely Activision is going to go the extra mile and make it look like a huge accomplishment. Good going Acti, you set up a Bad Cop Good Cop program for yourself in terms of advertising. You're just gonna make it look like you averted a national crisis aren't you, ya cute widdle thing!
Oh, yeah, I was actually at the luxor for a couple hours, and THEY HAVE GFDM (albeit it's only 4th release). It's down in a corner way away from the showcased Guitar Hero, but it's just godly to be playing drums on advanced 44 and scaring the s*** out of GHRB kiddies who have never seen the f***ing thing.
I was made fun of by a group of girls who were saying Guitar Freaks was a lame Japanese version of Guitar Hero because it only had three frets... Psh!
I gotta admit though, having all of the guitars for Guitar Hero was pretty nice. I can't see games like Beatmania or Pop'n having on-screen characters, but if DDR has Yuni vs. Emi, why doesn't GFDM have... uh... Naoki vs. Yoshitaka? I mean, we got avatars on versus mode (that crappy guy wearing a weird paper bag on his head like some suicidal emo).
EDIT: Kki, yes, GH arcade DOES have compatibility with DLC and patches, but I'm pretty sure it's up to whoever owns the game. Even so, most arcades would be too stupid to realize all you have to do is manually calibrate the audio-visual lag. Gawd...

KKiONI, can you give me the name of the arcade and the city + state (OR is it already on the front page)? Thank you
Anyways, so basically from seeing your guys posts, the game needs a really good calibration update, the guitars are a lot heavier than their home console versions, and DLC patches are available only if the arcade owner wants to update it...
...sounds so-and-so for me, i can't really say anything UNTIL i play the AC so as of right now i am pretty much keeping my mouth shut until i get to play one (and soon if i can)
I am still upset that they haven't announced anything for this AC, no advertisement, no website, just releasing the AC...
...could it be that their just releasing the final version just to see it's feedback, then once it has enough (or it is getting hype) then they will start announcing it? I give it until E3, if they don't give out any advertisement before OR during E3, then wtf?
