Just add a bit of tracking to count the posts per day, and note the people who make 50+ posts a day. If they actually said stuff, I wouldn't care, but I've stopped reading the Postwhore Forum because it's zero content.
I was mostly joking about that though.

The real problem is the DDR X threads, which should be for actual information about the game, not random wishlists and whining. Cripes, the game isn't out yet, and already the PS2 thread alone has more posts than all the SN2 stickied threads combined. If I was actually looking for info on the game, I'd stop after the first post, which basically says that we know 2 dozen songs and an expanded scale. None of the others is worth the time to read it, much less the time to hit "Next" 140 times. Basically, what I'm saying is that any info that is posted here is quickly buried by random chatter. Have fun sifting through 60 pages of "ZOMG my nose is dripping!" the day after we all get the PS2 version. If I were you, at that point, I'd just write off any hope of getting useful info from the posts in the thread and just update the first post with personally found stuff.

Yeah, I agree it's getting out of hand recently. Speculations and stuff should be kept to a minimum.

On other forums I've visited, posts in the game forum don't count towards your total because it's spam in the sense that it's not contributing to a discussion, but it adds to something, so it's not total nonsense. That sounds like a fair compromise, right?

I think that's a good plan. And it'll be funny to see certain people's post counts drop by a few hundred.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same as Kyzentun, where it's not that fun to read through the DDR threads because of all the spam.
I'd try and enforce a spam rule more and also take on RoyBoyCF's idea. Since that is how a lot of people have been getting really high post counts nowadays.

i have a good idea! i was thinking that there should be a download rate limit to those who are not members and in order to get the good download rate you must: 1. Be a member 2. Have a certain amount of posts. Do you think it's a good idea?

I'm still using the Empress theme.

Sweet, I really like the updated RED theme as well
And that's a nice touch on the scrolling code behind menu selections.

I noticed some members have a blue banner around there name, and others have it but is gray. What's that mean?

I'm using the Troopers theme, it looks a bit plain, could you give to the headers a colour like dark green or something? Mr. Al?

Changed it to a dark green now.

Menu animations now stay in place over all the links you've hovered over instead of just the one you're on.
