Maybe Konami will drop the bomb and release the horribly stepped "Night of Fire".

Don't think this has been mentioned, but the Mickey Mouse Club steps are indeed taken from the American Disney Rave game, but with added freeze arrows.

BURST THE GRAVITY?
THE SECOND OP THEME FOR ACCEL WORLD?!?!?!

For those who don't know... (warning: anime geek mode + some spoilers.)

Accel World takes place a few years after the most popular anime in 2012, Sword Art Online, where a young boy name Arita Haruyuki gets bullied because he's simply short, stout an fat, complarable to a tiny pig. Along the way he meets a young woman whose only known as "Kuroyukihime" (you anime fanatics and or people who know Japanese should be able to easily translate and figure out where it comes from ;) )invites him to a secret garden that only upperclassmen are allowed in. From there, he receives an application for him to install, called "Brain Burst", which unbeknownst to him, is a Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online (VRMMO) Fighter Game that is only accessible to teens in middle an high school.

So basically, in the game, you duel for burst points so you can use acceleration powers in the real world to be the top student, top athlete, you name it. When you use these accelerated powers, it pretty much makes you more agile, more conscious to the environment around you, to the point where you're basically stopping time and freely moving around as you please.

Moving back to the story, Kuroyukihime takes Haruyuki to, you know it, an adventure where their goal is to level up to Lv. 10 so they can meet the creators and learn the program's true purpose.

Anyways, back to the song into DDR.

I never thought they actually decided to put it there, but with the way the full version/TV version sounded like, it's no surprise that it would be a likely candidate for it's guitar riffs, somewhat vague English lyrics mixed in with Japanese lyrics, and it's somewhat addictive rave-ish beat. I wouldn't be surprised if they got permission from the creators to add the second OP video for Accel World.

I have noticed that Konami adds a lot of freeze arrows to their charts, even in places where they aren't needed. I wonder why that is.

Because everyone who writes charts is different. There's no hard or fast rule for how a chart should be written and thus, you'll see tons of charts that aren't made the way you think they should be. #onions

I'm really surprised to see Konami reaching into the Disney's Rave catalog. Here I thought Konami would pretty much fizzle out on content after the initial release of the game. Seems I'm wrong.

This is my favorite update so far.

Between the new LOVE & JOY and Mickey Mouse March, it has come to my attention that DDR needs a lot more Para music. And more salsa.

Any news on unlock conditions for the challenge charts?

Today I saw ddr_ray unlocking ずっとみつめていて and オリオンをなぞる in one credit lol, whatever the conditions are, they're pretty unclear and doesn't seem to be related to song choices (because two players played a set and a different chart unlocks for both)

BEMANIwiki states that apparently the timing and order is rather random for everyone, but if you clear all the 48 licenses in DDR2013 you'll end up with all the unlocks.

Very true for this one. And i have to say that you will have to replay ALL the license music to get all the 5 hidden charts on the latest patch 2013071500.
Because i've been playing for 2 days (Fri & Sat) & i get no unlock even though with all clear mark being displayed.

For my case, I unlocked ウッーウッーウマウマ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)(Speedcake Remix) first, (I can't recall the 2nd to 4th unlocks) last one was マジLOVE1000％

You see, in this territory, we only do our StepMania business on the earliest builds we can find. It's the only efficient way it can get done, you know. 3.0 beta build or lower, and the lower the build, the better the output. It's amazing what one can do with such limited technology. The possibilities are [virtually] endless.
