"Rainbows in the Sky"
Preordered the game today, such a steal at 30 bucks standalone (according to my local Gamestop Big Grin) The only thing that would make this even more awesome is if Konami decided to put back V-RARE preorder CDs (I mean, they haven't done it since SN2/HP1, but this is a revival we're talking about here.)
I just came to say hello.

I know about the missing step in CHAOSChallenge, but where are the "extra" steps in Dynamite Rave and Pluto?

DYNAMITE RAVE Heavy in the beginning has the part where it has those 16th clusters, starting at the first rap verse. One of the 16th clusters has a jump in there, for no reason, the music isn't any different, it just seems like an error, but one that has persisted in every incarnation of the song.

Pluto Challenge has the beginning part following the bass, but there's a jump randomly in there and the next step is "missing" as if one of the arrows making the jump was actually supposed to go a 16th later. The rest of that part follows the bass as expected.

Oh I see. Thanks.

That stuff isn't going to be good on the wii plsatic pad.
It's better then the vinyl ps3 and ps2 pads that are absolutely horrible.

The Wii pads IMO work better if you put a good amount of duct tape around the edges and flatten the pad well enough. I believe you will score better if you play it with socks as well.

Anyone ever use one of these?

http://www.amazon.com/Wii-GameCube-Converter-PS2-Dance-Support/dp/B000F7B516

Says it specifically works on dance pads.

Yeah your feet can stick to the pad and I'm sorry about earlier, I meant to post playing with socks.

What I've done with my Wii mat is take a disfunctional Ignition 3.0 take the foam insert out of it, place that on the ground, get 4 square pieces of foam board about the size of the panels and place them underneath the areas where they normally reside, put the mat on top of it, tape it down REALLY good, and test it to make sure everything is placed properly. Works better than my Ignition 3.0 ever did, though the PS2 mats don't seem to work as well this way for some reason or another. I always play with socks on.

I tried something vaguely similar, by just taping 4 square pieces of foam board below the arrows, but for some reason they keep on triggering ghost steps. I tested this on both my Wii mats, and the ghost steps stopped as soon as I removed the foam board.

A large roll of any sort of non-adhesive shelf liner

You may just have a couple of pads with sensors in weird spots. I've had to deal with that on a couple mats and had to move the foam pieces to accomodate them. You sorta have to make sure the panels are as flat as possible in order to avoid any sort of ghost stepping issues, as even a slight crinkle somewhere can cause headaches. Get a good mat done like that though, and as long as you don't do anything stupid like play with shoes on it'll last you a mix and then some. That's even when playing 15s.

Some news? It's happening on Oct 13th, two days after the release of DDR II. You just get the added incentive of meeting Naoki though youlucKYBASTAR-

Goods keep your combo on this one though (for no bloody reason). Maybe you'll like it now.

Of course, you could just, y'know, get better. It's SUPPOSED to be a challenge.

Hard to get better when I keep getting interrupted. D8; And yes, I do like that goods no longer break combos. Feels like mercy mode, something I like. "OTL

"Give me a steady beat."
It's counter-intuitive. No excuse either since America has DDR X2 proper (more or less). Where Goods hurt, broken Freezes = broken combos and anything less is simply a Miss.

DDR II, hopefully, wont force home players into Fisher-Price mode. Fisher-Price pad or not.

Fisher-Price mode with lead-based paint in the pad and small parts that are definitely not safe for kids? Big Grin
