Nike Free Trainer 3.0. I had been meaning to get a pair of Frees for a while, but those were on sale and they're the kind of shoe I can wear with my jeans on a regular day and with shorts when I'm doing DDR or going to the gym.

I could only play one game because the coin slot was being dumb, but they work really well.

@Pinkie: It's probably not going to be this week, but I am planning on coming down to Connecticut and stopping at Mohegan Sun sometime soon. I'll let you know when that ends up happening.

The original incident actually happened quite a while ago, but this just came up.

The entire thing is so strange. I had just seen As I Lay Dying at the Mayhem Festival in 2012 (just under a year before) and everything I had read about Tim Lambesis made it sound like he was a legitimately good guy. As I Lay Dying used to be one of my favorite bands but now I can't even listen to them anymore, because all of it seems so superficial. Ugh.

Who can't take 2 exams without feeling like a worthless piece of shit? This guy!

Sounds like a course I once took in chemistry. If I felt any confidence when writing a test, I was likely doing it wrong. Despite all that, I look back at it and see it as an experience. I guess as the saying goes, you learn more from your failures than your successes.

It's actually sort of funny in a way. It's more than common for people to rant off about life's many obstructions and how they wish they weren't there, however, I think we can't live without them. Deep down, some part of us actually likes that of life which doesn't always work our way and I mean, what's there to life without a good challenge? These uphill battles become experiences, be it positive or negative, that we enjoy exchanging with other people down the line.

Just my outlook on it. Sure it never feels like that in the moment, but one can only take what's given and do the best that can be done with it. I often have to remind myself of that.

Anyways, speaking of exams, I missed one for my course today due to a nasty stomach virus. Woke me up this morning and had me out for 7 hours of bad food poisoning like symptoms. Thankfully I was able to arrange a rewrite by getting a doctor's note. Normally they cost around 15 bucks, but he was really generous and gave it to me free of charge. May be a small fee, but the I couldn't be more thankful of such a nice gesture.

Pandy, depending on what you are pursuing career-wise...I'd say don't kick yourself over it if the subject matter isn't related to your career choice. Yes, you should try your best and pass the class, but do it in a manner where you'll go to other classes and have them be seen as cake for passing this obstacle in the present time. I once had this history class that messed me up so much, but after that class, the rest of the classes I had to take were so easy in comparison.

And yeah, that advice from KKIONI. It's pretty solid. Can't live life without things that we don't like. Get passed them and get ready for the next big thing that'll get ya, but enjoy the time in between!

Reminds me of the time I overslept and missed a quiz worth 15%. Talked with the professor, said he can't arrange a make up quiz but told me to get a medical certificate for whatever reason and give it to the general office, then he will reassign the weightage for me lol

So I went and made up a reason that I was sick and got the medical certificate.
