I remember back when I was in high school that at the end of my Junior year, I was pretty much done with Computers in general as were a whole lot of people. This would have been 2001.
So we had upwards of an 11-player deathmatch on Doom (via Doom Legacy) with custom maps that we made. Was fun shit.

And the people he hung around with. I haven't talked to the dude (?) in like five years so I'm not entirely sure how he is as a person anymore. Seems pretty evident though if this is the case...

Spoilers: long story short, he became more bitter and disillusioned over time, and his so-called friends certainly did not help the situation.Needless to say, with the way he's been the last few years, I am not surprised this happened in the slightest.

I competed in my first tournament this weekend, and I'm pretty disappointed in how I played. I'm hoping to do better on the next one.

Done a few myself. One thing you should consider is not to go into them, especially major ones, with high expectations. Do the best you can and don't think about it so much. The more you think about it, the worse you do and the more liable you are to choke under stress.
Goes for anything like that, really. Don't think about yourself too bad if you don't make it in the top whatever amount. The whole point is to gauge yourself.

I know the disappointed feeling. You'll do better next time. One thing that I really felt like I benefited from during the one tournament that I did enter was to have a couple of really annoying songs on standby as counterpicks - I used things like Pluto
and Super Samurai to catch people off guard because of the gimmicks so I can force a third song in matches (and since they were easy for me, I got to "relax").Might be worth trying. I got second in that tournament, which I honestly had no business doing since so many people were better than me there.
In other news, classes start up for me tomorrow too. It was fun playing all of the dance games for a while.
