Well for one thing, if your going to make a fake songlist for DDR X2...umm...make sure it's not the exact same songlist of the original X song for song. Maybe I'm just slow or something but y'know, don't most people like new things? Then again I'm not the expert...

Daytona USA is actually a FUCKING CLASSIC Arcade racing game, That's why "everyone has to have it" (Just like other classics like Pac-Man etc.) and good for those who actually maintain the machines, cause the next thing I want is broken pedals/steering wheel/shifter/whatever. The game has stood well on the test of time, it is still to this day a very fun and challenging game, even more fun if you had 3 to SEVEN more people to play with.
And UNLIKE this bizzare thing of Konami "clinging" to HP2, Sega actually made a fucking sequel (and a spinoff) that are just as good or even better, these are the kind of games I like to see in Arcades besides bemani games.

Gamescom officially starts in 30 minutes, but as I said, the first day is media/industry pros only, so don't expect too much today.
I would like to note that no official word from Konami has come out as to what their exactly their playable games will be, that list has been put out by some, but I can find no source on it...As I said, the press release stated that new DDR games for various platforms would be available for play and even went as far as to say that "a large area" would be dedicated to DDR.
I will be very disappointed if they only show HP2 as a playable demo though. It's almost been three months since we had any real concrete news on the games..

No DDR at Konami's Gamescom conference, but Naoki will be demonstrating the games for all three of the public days. Have no idea exactly where though.
And...confirmation that Hottest Party 2 is the only playable DDR game.

Maybe in the CS market. I still use main to mean the current build currently on arcade machines.
Which would make X the main game to be honest; we still haven't seen a Wii build on an arcade machine, don't know if we really want that to be honest.

We don't. The banners, the steps, the HP2 team showed that they're not capable of handling a main AC release.

Let's see here... NAOKI, check. jun, check. dj.TAKA, check. Darwin, Bill Hamel, Naughty G., etc.; check. Isn't HP team the DDR X team? o.O Of course, HP's stepcharts are WAY more gimmicky (Hand/Foot Missiles for the WTH?). You think HP3 might feature Shock Arrows, too? That would at least explain why X arcade features HP-ported songs, but (sadly) not Universe-series ones.
I think the stepchartists have taken too much of the wrong ITG influence, mistaking charts like HARDCORE OF THE NORTH Expert for zany ones like VerTex^2.
Weird afterthought: I wonder if having 60-some-odd songs (projected) in the tracklist means that it'll be getting MORE Xmixes, maybe? Including songs that have appeared in other mixes... wouldn't THAT be a riot!
