People have been copying me ever since I started messing with layouts of my videos. I honestly don't really care because so far the quality of the videos is poor compared to mine which are professionally produced a rendered in Vegas Pro 11.
Also the Shao Kon thing might have been a reference to me since I hate playing stepmania which can be seen in quite a few of my comments over my channel. I don;y necessarily have a problem with it as long as your not counting it towards DDR stuff/scores (timing windows are WAY different among many other factors).
With that all said I don't have much of an issue with him. He is a usual on my channel and have had much worse commenters over the history of my channel. Also in the future, official DDR related stuff only. Sorry Margo just got to keep stuff in its appropriate places, but its very cool to see you playing in your dorm
Aw, thanks Kon! Sorry about posting the sm video then. I'll have a console up here in a few weeks. There is an arcade about a half hour away, but I don't have a car with me, so I'll have to find a ride to get there. Apparently it's Bemani Heaven there!!!!!Also the Shao Kon thing might have been a reference to me since I hate playing stepmania which can be seen in quite a few of my comments over my channel. And yeah, I'm glad I can play in the dorms(so far)!
So.... I guess I have to redo my AAA count then. I'll just count CS AAAs from then on because it'll be a pain to fix.

Got 2 more of the leftovers from the X3 "2nd mix crossovers". I had trouble with these because they were slow but for some reason everything was coming together today. Mikkeneko on double was still not being nice with me; I'll have to work on that one.
AAA #1474 - Have You Never Been Mellow Challenge Single (Not the eAmuse record by a long shot but it was the area (Kanto) top score by 1 perfect (old one was by Pre-san...I wonder how long before he notices; he's very anal about these things)

And oh, how highly amused I was to have a score higher than Brosoni...Then again he never really plays songs less than 15 or so except for completion sake so I imagine that was a sight read PFC for him.

AAA #1475 - That's The Way (I Like It) Challenge Single (From the "Oops, snapped my photo too early department")

Just a few more PFC's from me on doubles.
dreaming can make a wish come true
GET UP'N MOVE (2008 X-edit) (D-Exp)
REBORN MAGIC
New Beginning (D-Cha)
COME BACK TO MY HEART (D-Exp)
Seule
In The Air
Theory of Eternity (D-Exp)
I made some considerable progress on Maxx Unlimited Doubles

I think I'm still less than 10 plays on this song. This was refreshing cause before I thought this was going to be the hardest. Now I think it may be one of my next ones. I could improve that score with not much trouble. Looks like its coming down to Ska, LOM, and PSM.

That's a really good Maxx actually, and yeah, I think that out of that, Maxx, and PSMH/O I'm tempted to say that is the easiest, too (on double).
Oh, I have some stuff from KID (Umehara!) recently
This first one was done on purpose, and how glorious it is.

And yet that same day he went and did this:

I almost FC'd ROPPONGI EVOLVED (Ver. B) on
! I had 1 good and 2 boos. I got the video and footcam and everything but my camera died afterwards and my ipod was low on battery. So once both of those are charged up, I'm gonna play it again. I KNOW I can do this. So wish me luck fellas!

It's from DDR X2 CS, right? There should still be a roppongi Evolved EES there. I believe the conditions to play it are similar to the Extra Stage conditions on DDR X AC: AA a song before the Final Stage, play Dance Dance Revolution
as the special Final Stage and AA it, then pick a red song* on
as your Extra Stage and AA it, then roppongi Evolved
should be available for EES.
*The red songs you'll have should be DEGRS, Pluto the First, and Kimono Princess. For the love of God, pick Kimono Princess.

^Does it allow you to play Kimono Princess? I thought you were stuck with Pluto the First for the EES.
Also, anyone have any tips for getting an AC AAA? I should've gotten one a long time ago, but I'll be going to(for the first time in my life) an actually good DDR machine tomorrow and I really want to shoot for my first AC AAA/PFC. I think the machine is an Extreme AC. IDK, when I play the CS games, I feel so nervous and it takes so many tries to get a pfc, I would like to be able to get it like it's no problem if that's possible. (hope it's okay that I'm asking this here as well)
Oh, and nice job everyone!!!

I'm assuming you're talking about a PFC on
? In that case, try playing a very easy song that has only 4th notes and 8th notes, which are obviously going to be much easier to time than 16th notes. If you want to practice with an arcade's tighter windows, play Stepmania on Judge 6, which is actually a bit tighter than an arcade's timing windows.
Stepmania Judge 4 Perfect: 45 ms
ITG Excellent: 43 ms (Judge ~4.3)
Stepmania Judge 5 Perfect: 37.5 ms
AC DDR Perfect: ~33.3 ms (Judge ~5.6)
Stepmania Judge 6 Perfect: 30 ms
Stepmania Judge 7 Perfect = Judge 4 Marvelous = 22.5 ms
(I do not know the timing window for a CS DDR Perfect)
---
I don't own X2 PS2; I'm only guessing based on what other people have said as well as a bunch of Youtube videos. The Extra Stage systems of North American PS2 games after SN1 seem very poorly documented, likely because they seem to be a very odd combination of ES systems from two different mixes.

If I'm not wrong the ES system of X2 NA seems a bit like EXTRA RUSH. You start with FS = Dance Dance Revolution, ES = Pluto the First, EES = KIMONO PRINCESS and as you unlock stuff, they go down the ranks.
@agentmargo
playing EXTREME, eh? I would suggest Look to the Sky (True Color Mix); this satisfies Zowayix's suggestion too. I think there are lots of straightforward simple songs in the 140~160BPM range but I can't remember.

In that case, in order to play roppongi Evolved for EES on a fully unlocked X2 PS2, would it be possible to just set the number of stages to 2, then select and AA roppongi Evolved
3 times in a row? The first one unlocks the special FS, the second unlocks the ES, and the third unlocks the EES. It's a red song in all three cases, so it should qualify for unlocking the next stage.

When it's the final stage, the red song is Kimono Princess. That's odd. That's the only song I have to unlock too.

I'm thinking that one, My Sweet Darlin', Nori Nori Nori(totally be awesome because it would match my banner) or Love Shine. Hopefully this'll turn out well and thanks!playing EXTREME, eh? @DDRPhoenix:
That's the only song you have to unlock? That's odd, the very last unlock of the game should be roppongi, unless you actually cleared the final mission of Dice Master Mode without clearing Kimono Princess's mission which comes before that.
EDIT: Ok, here's what I think I've nailed down for X2 PS2's Extra Stage system:
- Like SN2 AC, you have to A a stage before the Final Stage to be able to play the special Final Stage, on whatever difficulty that previous stage was A'd on. However, if you AA a stage before the Final Stage, the special FS will be playable on all difficulties.
- AA the special FS to unlock ES. There will be a single red song (the special ES) locked on whatever difficulty the FS was played on.
- AA the special ES to unlock EES. There will be a single red song (the special EES) locked on whatever difficulty the ES was played on.
- Concerning locked difficulties,
and
will be swapped as necessary if a special red song does not have that difficulty.
- You may choose a song other than the red song on each stage, but then you will not be able to unlock the next stage.
The underlined parts above are filled in as such:
- At the start of the game, the special FS is Dance Dance Revolution, the special ES is Pluto the First, and the special EES is Kimono Princess.
- After unlocking Dance Dance Revolution for regular play, the special FS becomes Pluto the First, the special ES becomes Kimono Princess, and the special EES becomes DEGRS.
- After unlocking Pluto the First for regular play, the special FS becomes Kimono Princess, the special ES becomes DEGRS, and the special EES becomes roppongi Evolved.
- I am not sure what will happen if a later song is unlocked before an earlier one through Dice Master Mode. For example, if Pluto the First were to be unlocked before Dance Dance Revolution, then the special FS will still be Dance Dance Revolution, but I do not know whether the special ES would still be Pluto the First or be Kimono Princess. I'm guessing it would still be Pluto the First.
- Apparently it is therefore not possible to play the awesome roppongi Evolved on EES without first AA'ing the cluster@#$% that is DEGRS on ES.
If that last statement is true, go ahead and forget about everything I said involving a roppongi EES clear on console. Unless you really, REALLY want to torture yourself with DEGRS. If you do, and if there is a Jumps Off 2 option (turns jumps into 1 arrow instead of removing them entirely), use it.

Okay. Btw, I forget, what options does EESs give you? I forgot.
Post #2080 · Posted at 2012-09-15 02:10:31pm 12.8 years ago
No idea. I would assume options can be freely selected, like they could be since DDR X, but since this game uses SN2's rotating Extra Stage system, who knows? On SN2 you were stuck with no options (1x vivid).
