Silly question, but why are they including the tutorial song Lesson by DJ?
It just doesn't feel like it should belong. I can understand having it in the CS versions, but to have it in the AC?
Well to each their own I guess.

Been having a blast playing DDR again, enough to take two trips in one week to play it, even.
Also, when I down yesterday with my brother to the Dave and Buster's Philadelphia location that had DDR A, there was a player named SWAGMAN! there that tried to Marvelous Full Combo un deux trois Expert. He didn't succeed in the seven times I saw him play yesterday (he kept getting a few Perfects short), but apparently my brother did see him do it after I left, and he said he got the PFC. Unfortunately, shortly after he did eAMUSEMENT crashed, and his score didn't save. Yikes.

As much as it looks totally uncomfortable raising your legs THAT high to hit a step, I just want to say that this is a million times better than those Beginner Helpers we saw in DDR EXTREME.

Looking at the Lesson by DJ video, it appearantly it has its own genre.
In regards to the screenshot feature, I was scrolling through the website's message board looking at the screenshots when I saw that a screenshot of Brilliant2U (AKBK MIX) had a generic DDR A jacket instead of its original jacket. I continued scrolling and noticed that the Osumatsu-san song, only my railgun, Struggle, Homeneko Sensation, Cirno's Perfect Math Class, Trip Machine (xac nanoglide), Joker, future gazer, Maware Setsugetsuka, After School Stride, and the American licenses also had generic jackets on their screenshots (I stopped scrolling after that point). One thing these songs have in common (with the partial exception of B2U and TM) is that they're all licenses. I'm not sure what their reason for doing this is but its probably because they're licenses (shocker ).

Actually TRIP MACHINE (xac nanoglide mix), PARANOiA (kskst mix), and BRILLIANT 2U (AKBK MIX) are all licenses and they even aren't in the US version of DDR A because of licensing issues.Post #2052 · Posted at 2016-07-21 03:14:26pm 7.9 years ago

They're remixes of Konami Originals and in DDR 2013 and 2014, they were sorted with the Konami Originals in the X3 folder but were still technically licensed by EMI iirc.

It's almost like Konami is trying to attract a casual audience or something, using a song from a popular CS series to do so.It just doesn't feel like it should belong. I can understand having it in the CS versions, but to have it in the AC?
Well to each their own I guess.

Word on the street is Round 1 might be switching Premium Play to one swipe.

The one in Seattle has already switched to 1 swipe premium and 1 swipe doubles (total of 1 swipe for premium doubles instead of the 3 swipes when it released).

What better way to teach bystanders to not return their feet to the center? The attract screen also plays it up until the part with the freeze arrow. It's perfect for casuals to get confortable around the pad before playing, then they play Lesson by DJ and they're set to play songs probably even as hard as 5 footers. I'm personally very happy to see this get added. To me it's very essential to attract new players. It also beats the old barebones "return feet to the center after every single step" demonstration.

Definitely agree with this. This song really did help me back in the day when I started. The ending "Down, Down, Right!" part is also a good way of saying "this is how you read 8th notes".Post #2059 · Posted at 2016-07-21 04:24:06pm 7.9 years ago

Did anyone else notice that Lesson by DJ is shorter than it was in the CS games?
