How funny. That's a first for Asian releases, isn't it?

I wonder if those English screens in the Korean location test means Konami's planning on changing the Asian display language in a future patch.

No, DDR in Asia has been in Japanese since at least SuperNOVA 2.

Never played an Asian SuperNOVA 2, but I did play Asian X and X2 and I don't remember seeing Japanese. Though it wasn't for more than a few times, and it was some time ago. Again, that's kind of weird especially since for those games they did have English assets lying around.

Also this discussion made me pay attention to just how much English is used in the Japanese-only DanceDanceRevolution when I played today.

By Japanese I mean text assets - e.g. the bottom of the screen said オンライン, not ONLINE.

DDR 2013 actually uses less English than ever before in the graphic assets, since it now says e.g. Single and Double in Katakana.

Asian release, only SN1 is in English. The rest from SN2 onwards it's all in Japanese.

Korean version of other bemani series uses K(Korea) instead of J(Japan).

for example
tricoro japanese version : LDJ:J:A:A:2013062000
tricoro korean version : LDJ:K:A:A:2013062000
