Did DDR PS3/360 get moved til 2010? Or is it still on track for this year

Hope this is NOT true...because if it is, then that means they saw just how bad the PS3/360 version was going to look so they needed more time...which is both a good thing and a bad thing i guess but still though WTF???

Hmm.. This is like what you said, good and bad. Good because now they have time to fix that ugly interface and characters, but this is bad for me because I am still determining to see which version is the best investment and now I have to wai for it to come out Well that's if this is true.

I noticed that a lot of sites have changed their dates to March/April for the PS3 game...

Edit: Many places have the 360 version pushed back too, but not the PS2/Wii versions.

I'm thinking two possibilities here:

-Konami is taking more time with the PS3/360 games because of things like the interface (note no official screenshots), and the DLC.

or, perhaps a bit less likely...

-These games are mistakenly receiving their European version dates, which Konami has stated would be released in Q1 2010.

PS3/360 version is listed as January 12th, PS2 and Wii version still have October 27th 2009 as their ship date on GameStop. Perhaps there's a problem with whatever engine the high end-gens are using?

Guess what else comes out October 27th?

So, uh... now that "X2" and "Hottest Party 3" are officially different titles now (and I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say 360/PS3 will = "Universe 4"), should they each get their own dedicated threads? Last thing we need is another X/HP2/Uni3 mashup thread like DDRFreak's last year.

Also... I think HP3 being big news, along with FuruFuru's remixes means that the main/arcade DDR series will probably be continued on the Wii, not the PS3/360. Hence Arcade X featuring lots of HP crossovers.

It's up to Alan, obviously, but I would say we keep them all in the same thread. Although they may be distinctively different in their presentations (names, interfaces, and modes), we are assuming based on what we saw at E3 that the songlists (at least the new songs) and charts will be the same (sans the hand markers of course).

By the way, I don't mind the wait for the PS3/360, as long as they clean those graphics up! (I can only hope that the delay is caused by the response to the trailer)

Yes, delaying for improved quality is a good thing; not rushing a shoddy product out the door. If that is the case, then good job KONAMI, showing quality is more important than the silly fall release schedule you love so much.

I would also agree to keep the threads the same for now. Perhaps on release, we can have the HP3/X2 thread and the 360/PS3 thread for later, if they are released on different dates.

Seeing as we've seen next to nothing about the PS3/360 versions, this comes as no surprise.

Well, there's that, and I think Stillwind passing has a lot to do with that. IIRC, he was one of the main DDR Ultramix/Universe directors, too. You can't just pick somebody up on a resume for that sort of thing, you know?

The Konami annual report still lists this game coming out in Fall 2009. Lets hope its accurate!
