Here's a thought too. Wouldn't it make sense to re license Captain Jack (Grandale Remix)? Or at least a new to the usa home versions Captain Jack song? (The Race maybe?)
I mean Captain Jack had so so so many songs in DDR and -three- in solo alone. And was such a huge huge part of DDR in japan and america. Remember the promo concert when they where even standing on a DDR 2nd mix machine? And even had -live- versions of In The Navy and The Race? >:3
(And yes, I know I know.)
And I would say 2 Unlimited was a huge huge part of DDR as well. Along with Tess, Jenny Rom, E-Rotic, X-treme, and others. It would make a lot of sense to get something from them again.

I still like dancing with BG animation + BG wallpaper. I'm boring looking Emi or her friends dancing on same stage for every songs (If I set the stage) over and over again. About flashy BG video like Trip Machine PhoeniX, I usually use Rainbow to recognize the arrows and hope for Konami not make flashy or confusing video BG that can distract player concentration.

Licenses: I don't particularly like them, but more from well-known Dancemania artists would be nice.
Noteskins: I like using Note on Extreme 2, but not SN or SN2 because of the bright-colored backgrounds that look almost the same as the arrows. Fortunately, X is using darker stages, so I might go back to using Note once it's released.

I'll bite. What do you see in NGO, TMP, Unreal, and DEGRS that diverges significantly from the music? And don't spare the details - I'm a programmer too and details are our friends.

TMP: The 16th triplets that end don't seem to follow anything.
Unreal: I can never hit the right sync with the beat on it. The steps follow the beat, but the beat isn't clearly defined.
DEGRES: Actually follows the music with the steps.
I was mostly thinking of these ones.
PHO: The 32nds in the 75 section don't follow anything.
FAXX: Gallops make no sense, and the 8ths in the opener of oni don't follow the music.
FELM: The music doesn't sound like gallops where it has gallops. Same is true of a lot of the 8ths in the 400 sections.
HDV: The gallops in the beginning don't seem to follow anything. And there's the whole issue with the sound the jumps pretend to follow being on a 6th rhythm, not a 3/16ths rhythm.
Yes, I've seen Utopia expert, and I have no clue what the chaotic parts in that follow.

BG animations never really bothered me. Maybe it is because I'm too focused on the arrows. But considering that a significant number of DDR players get distracted by some BG animations, I think it's best for Konami to tone down the "flashiness" of their videos.
As for the ITG vs. DDR issue... well, I haven't played ITG yet so I can't make a fair judgment. What I do know is I'm enjoying DDR to bits.

hopefully with DDR X and with them saying about the animations in the songs, it won't be too annoying otherwise I will give Konami a piece of my mind. But I don't think it will since they're smart about their games.

I completely agree with your opinion. Bosses songs on SN1 was a great songs but with POOR stepchart. Using 8th and 16th on HDV, not 12th ? Gallops on FAXX ? Another gallops on FELM ? Some meaningless 16th on CHAOS?

Absolutely nothing. I've heard so many explanations for this one, but it boils down to random arrows, which really ruins an otherwise fun chart.Fascination ~eternal love mix~ is a strange one; there's not much to follow. That being said, I find that if you mash Double Challenge's beginning with Single Expert's ending, you'd have the ideal chart for it. Very hard song to step, overall, I find.
I'm fine with streams not following anything (MAX 300 is a favourite) as long as they're not entirely senseless (Fascination MAXX Challenge).

These are the licenses I think will appear on DDR X. It's not a wishlist, but simply what I think Konami would put.
BUTTERFLY - 1st mix (will we know this already)
DUB-I-DUB- 2nd mix (*look on top*)
BOOM BOOM DOLLAR- 2nd mix
Dam Dariram- 3rd mix
Saint Goes Marching (remix)- 4th mix
Witch Doctor- 6th mix
WAKA LAKA- 7th mix
I DO I DO I DO- 8th mix
Senorita (Speedy mix)- 8th mix
Wookie Wookie- SuperNOVA
I'm still not sure about Saints Go Marching or Wookie Wookie though. I think Saint Goes Marching COULD be replaced by Shooting Star and Wookie Wookie by Golden Sky.
Or who knows, perhaps they'll put both!

Now, KONAMI, if you're reading this, there better be some songs from Ultramix 2 in DDR X. Namely, 19, November, R10K, Toe Jam, and route 80s. Oh, and Brilliant RED.
Add to that...how's about putting those songs (Brilliant RED the exception) in the arcade version too.

Kynayo, I think you meant to write negative two stars for S-A-G-A.
As for nonsensical boss songs, some of the arrows aren't supposed to be there. They're arrows from other songs that got misplaced.

Because I was lazy and didn't feel like writing DDR EXTREME. If I did, I'd have to change 6th and 7th to MX and MAX 2.
And like I said, I'M LAZY

As mentioned above, the internals of EXTREME actually do refer to it as the 8thMIX, though no publicly displayed propaganda does.I'm still pulling for SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW, the song is a lot of fun.

MAX and MAX2 actually were 6th and 7thMIX. EXTREME did not have a number, it may have originally been planned to, but it never did.
Doesn't Really Matter what the code says, it was suppose to be DDRMAX3 until they changed the name. It's just troubling that people still call it 8th like it really is/was/may have been/grandma's pet name/etc... DDRUK to this day called the EXTREME bumper 8thMIX. Personally I'd rather get it right but that's me.
