Well, I don't think this should come as a surprise, considering it has happened like over 9000 times before... I get the feeling that if Europe ever would get an X2, it'd be f-ed up just like the X cabinet.......... Betson sucks! Evil

Yeah. Made by Raw Thrills according to specifications provided by, I believe, KONAMI? But I can't recall, they may have been Betson's specifications, since I think they were involved with planning ways to cut costs on the cabinet.

I really hope KONAMI learned a lot from the X debacle; they at least seemed to put effort into finding a good solution, so let's hope they've taken those lessons with them in this design.

I don't understand. Why DDR X2 JP AC spend much time to be released?

I think that is for the new DDR presentation Tongue

Knowing Konami, they probably didn't learn shit and will end up giving us yet another half-assed cabinet with major problems. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.

"HURRRR"
why is everyone here surprised that this is one of the cabinets from Betson?

in March we heard from the US VP of Amusement for Konami and he said that the cabinet will not change, but that the sensors in the arrow panels would be revised.

James from Konami of Europe emailed one of the French players saying that there was a power problem in the hall which effected the machine and that the parts were on their way. the machine will be up for this weekend. He also said that the machine is still a prototype, but it has new hardware to deal with the timing issues although the pads are still unmodified at this point. its also running the latest version of X2 on par with the latest we've seen from Japan.

theres never been any mention of a new machine for the US/EU and Betson is still going to be in the picture for a long time. also Betson is just the distributor, they do not make machines. Raw Thrills builds machines.

I will admit, I enjoy the atmosphere of this game over the previous one. Seems brighter, more colorful and light hearted.

That pic got me thinking... Do you think they'll be replacing the X difficulty scale with the old 1-10 one?

It's probably a small selection of songs they think are suitable for new players? It looks like Beginner and Basic are the only steps you can choose, and the hardest song is 5-foot (on the new scale)

Uh, X-Scale 5 feet = Old Scale 3 feet...

I'm sure there won't be anything NEAR the difficulty of an old scale 5 foot Basic chart on there Tongue
