"Give me a steady beat."
Yeah, the only thing really bad about the American EXTREME was the theme (and possibly Eye Toy support). But that was an era of DDR where western games were getting very strong soundtracks thanks to sympathetic forces within Konami.

Also, the American X2 previewed a chunk of arcade X2 songs before it had even been released in Japan. Not a stellar release, but not a bad one either.

The only thing "wrong" with X2 was that the new song list was tiny. Or so it seemed. And ugh, it wasted spots for the PS2's last release on revivals of all things. Just put more easy charted license covers and it would've looked less half-done. xP Although if the alternative was shortening the song list by about five songs, eh, it's fine the way it is... but why tierra buena I don't understand

The whole song list had ups and downs.
Roppongi? Heck yeah. La Bamba? O...kay. Closer? Lovely. La Camisa Negra? What...?

also dice master mode was cool as long as you don't bother 100%ing it

^ I think they added Baile Le Samba, Tierra Buena, Love Is Orange, etc. because they wanted to appeal to a greater audience that speaks other languages. I don't think it worked too well.

Dice Master Mode was very forgettable, as is much of the songs in the mix. I know that the US tends to get the shaft with CS releases, but this was ridiculous.

Nothing in X2 really caught my interest. Partly why its the first CS release I didn't buy.

I really like the chart for "Taking it To The Sky", aside from being a bit sedentary.

I think people seem to look at the stepcharts and... sort of shiver. In my opinion, there are some really good ones in there. There's Shine (Heavy and :chaSmile, Sacred Oath (also Heavy and :chaSmile, Zero, and Mars War 3, just to name a few. I think people mostly have problems with the boss songs (and I can't blame them for disliking Pluto the First).

Hmm...I wonder if someone hates me. I noticed I got 3 -5s today, and I haven't even posted since last week. Oh well.

Oh, I didn't know that can happen. I guess that's the reason then.

X2 CS was bad. Didn't help that X CS disappointed me a lot too so I never bought the former. I didn't really like the songlists in either of them honestly.

Yeah, the only thing really bad about the American EXTREME was

the fact that the Perfect window was so large you could drive a truck through it. There's no reason I should be able to AAA Move Your Feet on my first try while 6-modding.

None felt quite so generous to the degree of US EX, though. Six-mod AAA'ing a goofy-ass chart on the first try? Way too forgiving.

Quote: silenttype01
What is 6-modding?

Putting a mod in six different categories. Back in the day, I think that was pretty much all the categories. So there'd be a speed mod, Boost, an appearance mod, a turn mod, Reverse, and whatever else there was at the time.

So I recently inherited a house, which is cool (barring the circumstances that caused said inheritance). However, after staying here for a few nights, I notice that it seems to have a bit of a bug problem.

The first day I was here, I killed an adult roach. Okay, whatever, it's one roach. No big deal. The next day, I kill around 15-20 baby roaches scurrying about, so I call the bug guy to make an appointment to spray the place and hopefully wipe them out.

So I'm currently here for the third night and I decide to keep a precise count of how many baby roaches I kill tonight so I can give the bug guy a more accurate idea of what he's dealing with.

I've killed 166 baby roaches so far in a two-hour span. Now I'm afraid to sleep in this damn house.
