DanceDanceRevolution (PS3 & Xbox 360) (International)

I am debating as to whether getting the PS2 version first, then the PS3, OR to pre-order the PS3 version and get that one first, and then the PS2 version later...

...but after seeing the preview and all, might want to go for the first option JUUUST in case the PS3 version is up to par with the rest of the versions...




...but the 150+ DLC STILL draws me more to that version than the PS2 version >_<

I would get all 4 versions, but I'm only getting HOTTEST PARTY 3 and the so-called "X2" since I don't have a 360 or PS3 yet.

I'm getting HP3+pad because I still haven't played HP1 because of lack of pad T_T

Same as me, I would get all 4 versions of the game. However I know the Wii version has been renamed to DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY 3, right?

You can play with the Classic Controller

Correct, you can play with your Classic Controller if you have a copy of HP1 or HP2

You can also use a GameCube controller, too.

Although why anybody would want to remains to be seen.

I did when I wanted to unlock songs but didn't want to play the charts. I also did when I wanted to play, but didn't really want to play on pad because I was lazy or injured.

I know, but the GC controller is really, really bad for playing DDR with. The tiny D-pad and the odd face button positions aren't suited for it.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that technically those "new" screenshots aren't new at all:

Konami Conference

They, along with probably over a dozen other unreleased screens, were shown at Konami's press conference at E3. For the person who was asking about the lack of a song wheel screenshot, they've actually got some (although it's just screens of the E3 demo songlist, which might explain why they haven't officially released a song wheel screen).

So, they actually only reflect the E3 demo interface (not that I think major changes will be done to the PS2/Wii ones). ...

Nor I, but then again I don't play fighting games. I'm sure people say the same thing about DDR not knowing the full depth of the series or what else it ties into. "What do you mean the song Graduation was about Emi moving away from her friends in the Tokimeki Memorial series? She's just a dancer in DDR right? She just dances, what does it matter?"
