Oh yeah, if you thought the gamespot comments were bad, just wait until you read the ones on IGN.

No actually DDR is not the "master".
Beatmania and drumania/guitar freaks are older therefore they are truely the masters.
DDR started out as a fun game then by the time supernova came out it got rediculously annoying.
DDR at that time was trying to compete with Roxors In The Groove.they stole the 1-13 idea from stepmania and the ITG series.Their "Shock arrows" are nothing more than a cheap rip off of mines used in ITG and stepmania.Konami is only out to make money with this game and they could care less about its' fanbase.
You can tell the difference in "quality" when you step on a In The Groove 2 Arcade machine compared with a Supernova 2 machine...Supernova was utter shit.
They wanted close to $20,000 for their supernova machines.
When Roxor was selling their higher quality arcade machines for $10,000
I used to love DDR, and now since ITG is almost gone because of Konami I will move on to Pump It Up PRO.
Also as long as Stepmania is still around DDR will always be in secound place.
Stepmania is FREEWARE.
IN THE GROOVE WAS MADE FROM STEPMANIA.
I laugh at this guy. No actually DDR is not the "master".

Back on topic...about 6 weeks left to release. I actually like how the screen filter works. it may help me see the arrows as they scroll up.

*COUGH* DDR TO ITG *COUGH*
If that's the case, then why is ITG the ONLY one where it's easy to read the arrows? It's pretty clear that DDR was made with spectators in mind, more so than players, thus the flashy background crap, and BS noteskins. If DDR X has the same crap noteskins and flashy backgrounds, I will continue to either stay home, or play ITG, even if the arcade 3 blocks away gets it.*COUGH* DDR TO ITG *COUGH*
Whenever I play EX AC, I feel like I'm playing one of those SN2 missions that hides random arrows at random times. We all know how fun those missions were.
When I play stepmania or ITG, I always see every arrow coming up, and I only miss them when I make a mistake, not when the machine capriciously hides it from me.
I won't go into pad quality, becuase it really depends on the arcade maintainer more than the cabinet manufacturer.
The steps in ITG are also more friendly to sight readers, for most songs.
Neither is friendly to no bar play once you start going above 9s.
I can bring up more reasons why ITG it better done. Also, SN1 had the same knowledge base to draw on that ITG did (1stMix to EX), so there's no reason why it shouldn't have been just as good.
As for arrow vomit, look at the SN1 and SN2 bosses. Arrow vomit with seizures. Not only that, but with the exception of PR, and P, the SN1/2 bosses diverge significantly from the music, whereas the ITG bosses do not. Pandy, Vertex, V^2, Summer, !, all follow the music.

Again, Roxor saw that problem and fixed it in ITG. Like you said, there are spectators for DDR so isn't it a good idea to let them look at something colorful while they're watching?
And to me, I can PERFECTLY read the arrows. The Bgs do not get in my way at all >_>

Let's not turn this into a DDRvsITG thread, children. After years and years of arguing, no one cares about anyone else's opinion on the matter anymore.

I personally hope that we get some sort of new information about DDR X tommorow, otherwise I'll cry

and who ever goes, I hope you guys have fun, Linkin Park was my very first band that I listened to on my MP3 player

Pie, do you think we'll get something from tommorow or no.

me either, probably due to superior vision. Seriously, I just can't see how anyone has ever had problems seeing arrows...there are so many options (even moreso with X) to HELP you see them.

It didn't bother me either, until I played stepmania, and realized how much of a difference it made in what I was able to pass, and what my grades were. I'm just picky about interface elements that get in my way.

The thing is, we don't know until tomorrow so just wait it out like everyone else.

No clue. You'd have to ask CageKing how much his friend is into DDR or whatever. But honestly, I'm not very hopeful about getting info tomorrow.

Actually, going by the example, this thread is for repetitive speculation, asking when we'll get info, and whining about not getting info. Actual discussion usually lasts 2-3 posts for each piece of info.
