Shana was tied for my favorite anime and then bad things happened to the cutest ship. ;_;
Finally got over it (sort of) years later and watched the third season, and then there was fighting everywhere but I was pulling my hair out at how stubborn Yuji was. xP But blah. I have the hardest time following wars and I definitely missed a lot. ._. Surprisingly fun to watch things burning up everywhere in those fights, though.

So after ages of planning to invest in a IIDX setup, I decided to say screw it and took the easy (read: cheap) path. Found a decent price for a BMUS bundle on eBay and I've got to say I am having a blast. Even though the style is sub par compared to the Japanese releases, I think it's not that bad for what it is. Found quite a few songs I like actually, so I'm slowly inching my way up to the Level 5-7 bracket. Now for step two: getting something from IIDX 9 to 15.

tl;dr: Finally got a beatmania game and controller and loving it.

Even though the American beatmania it was a hodgepodge release that didn't tie into anything, it was still pretty good. It broke the stigma of the overpriced controller without making it useless and to this day the game has exclusive tracks that are actually good.
