I think Sei So Tsui Dan Sha is the only thing I've read by that guy(?), but it was damn awesome.

(C/P from facebook)
I had a pretty in-depth conversation with my buddy Eric about modern tech, and we came to an agreement that when it comes to smartphones, there is an air of professionalism that emanates more from Android smartphones than Apple smartphones. What I mean (and this is just a quick summary of the conversation) is that with Android phones, there is more in the way of business applications and other accessories that become very useful when applied in a professional work environment. Apple iPhones have some nice business apps as well, but since the iPhone is basically the iPod Touch with built-in calling/texting features, I view less like a high end smartphone and more like a busier iPod trying to be a professional smartphone but held back by an overabundance of gaming apps. The iDevices have never really had a focus on being used in a business setting, and it shows when the majority of the apps on the market are games and other forms of entertainment. This doesn't make it bad, but in my eyes I cant take iPhones seriously given what it basically is, which is a higher end iPod Touch. I'm sure a counterargument exists for this, but it's just an opinion I had about smartphones.
tl;dr Opinions about Android smartphones being more professional than iPhones, not facts.
inb4 somehow my opinion on something is wrong because reasons

Maybe that's just a summary of the full conversation, but I find it interesting that there's no mention of platform security.
And on the topic of not being able to take something seriously, anyone here buy SimCity? Actually the whole debacle has made me want to play a city simulator again ...so I'm off to download SimCity 4. (And only because SimCity 2000 flat out doesn't work under Windows 7)

It was something we only discussed briefly, I left it out of the summary because I forgot we talked about it, but Apple's iOS is much more secure than Android, that much cant be debated since it's basically fact.

My only issue with the iPhone is that too many people buy it just because it's Apple. They buy it to fit in with everyone else buying the iPhone. It's not a bad phone by any means. There are just much better phones out there.

@KNS-17: BUT WHAT ABOUT BLUEBERRY???
Kidding of course, but I haven't fully heard why exactly people hate it beyond vague reasons. I briefly had one in the past and it wasn't bad at all. Though I wouldn't consider myself much of a phone critic. I am more than satisfied with my awesome and old Sony w810i.

I think the version from GOG.com works... I got it from there when the new SC was announced and played it on 7 and XP.Bought it and played it obsessively for a week and then never touched it... not a bad use of $3 (though the price is, gasp, $6 now).

What... When... I Love you!
Just so you know, SimCity 2000 Special Edition is the first PC game I ever owned to my name. It was given to me on the very first PC I ever owned to my name (a 486 that was too slow to run Windows 98). That's how awesome this is. I had absolutely no idea that it had been updated for current systems, the damn thing was released when the current version of Windows was 3.1! I just bought that sucker and it's downloading now. Thank you!
