DDR II & hottest party 5 (Wii) (International)

We wanted more 9's and 10's and they changed to X-scale to flood us with them.

How many people said they wanted the Wii characters axed from the Wii games? I know I complained time and time again for AC characters in Facebook and looked for support while doing so, but I am probably not alone when I say I wanted AC characters on a console that I was following basically just for said characters. Everyone knows putting them on the Wii screws that up a lot.

Maybe a lot of people dislike the Wii characters and I just didn't pay attention, but generally when they were like "what do you wanna see on console ddr" we particluar fans replied "characters" not "replace the Wii characters with AC characters and confuse the fanbase like no other." I definitely recall people saying they wanted Naoki and Rena.

Besides that flaw, it's hard to say "X2 on Wii" is a bad thing; it's just "X2 not being on the PS" is kind of a disappointing thing given the PS1 and PS2's history, even though it's been said many times that it wasn't going to happen. It would just be nice if, in the future, they do incorporate the songs onto the PS3 and surewhynot the Xbox360 because they got fudged over by the 2010 game.

And then watch, the HP characters wind up on PS3 with X2 stages and we can have this hair-pulling disaster all over again.

Perhaps the (next) most disappointing news is losing the 20-scale. Boo.

I'm hoping that the strong response U1 got when he asked what people preferred (overwhelming majority prefer the 20-scale) will make them change it for release. The interface would easily support the 20-scale, since they've done away with the 10 eggplants system or whatever and are using just numbers, like X2.

All in all, a nice reveal of artists, but not too much else.

EDIT: Wow, even though it says to check the DDR page for more info, it still has DDR 2010.

It's some kind of sped-up remix of HEARTBREAK (Sound Selektaz remix).

Nice graphics, same old same old.

I noted that though we are getting back Goldfrapp and Human League [hopefully (Keep Feeling) Fasicnation], I was a bit surprised with how Duran Duran didn't show up on that list. The same for Lady Gaga.

Overall, the game looks pretty cool and I can't wait for it to come out.

Seems too obvious. Though I won't complain. Spice Girls music is awesome but almost none of it belongs in a dancing game.

Gomez's "Naturally" needs to come back to life.

Afro's outfit is from X2. And he does.. pretty much look the same, nothing really new.
"New dance characters" my #$^. That's almost like an insult to all character fans. Unless they go around changing the names to make them brand flippin new like we aren't completely aware that these are just the characters from PS2 overtaking the Wii... I mean, if they went that far, I will be taking some action on Konami if they were that screwed up. xP

Everyone knows that Konami's definition of new is Wasn't in the most recent previous title for that system.

Well, here are my guesses on the licenses

Willow: 99% sure this is going to be Whip My Hair. I had never heard the song before, but I had just always assumed it was going to be kind of cute. It's not, I'm not looking forward to this.

Human League: Though the band has an extensive discography, the most well-known song from them in the U.S. is probably Don't You Want Me and that's what I imagine what they'd pick.

B.o.B.: This is a tough one, given that both Airplanes and Only Girl in the World were both big hits. However, since there's already going to be a Bruno Mars song on the game, I'm thinking they'll go with Airplanes. Personally, I also think Airplanes has a better beat for a dance game.

Spice Girls: Hoo boy am I excited for this one. However, it will probably end up being Wannabe given that went number 1 around the world. Personally, it's not my favorite song from them and I'd much rather see Stop, Who Do You Think You Are, or Spice Up Your Life. Hell, shock us and include 2 Become 1!

Selena Gomez and the Scene: So, we have between A Year Without Rain and Naturally, right? I personally hope they skip over A Year Without Rain and choose the high-energy Naturally. Much more appropriate for a dance game.

Goldfrapp: This one's got me really excited too. I think they'll choose either Rocket or Alive, given their both recent songs and they both went number 1 on the U.S. dance charts.

Bruno Mars: Grenade and The Way You Are are the most obvious choices here, but The Way You Are is probably the shoe-in here. By the way, is it just me, or does this guy have a hateable face?

Anyways, this is shaping up to be a not-so-bad license list. It certainly seems they learned their lesson from DDR 2010 with all those weird oldies songs.

Does anybody here have a good enough eye to tell by the trailer if any other X2 songs are in this by looking at the stepcharts?

Nice artists to license. I hope the Spice Girls song is Stop and I hope the B.O.B. song is Nothin' On You.

11 Master Licenses which include B.o.B, Spice Girls, The Ready Set, Selena Gomez and the Scene, Goldfrapp (yes), Yaz, Bruno Mars (uugghhh), Jason Derulo, Willow (oh boy ), Human League, and Natasha Bedingfield.

Wow...impressed with the MASTER licenses so far, WAY better than DDR 2010 master licenses that's for sure.

That's 11 down, 39+ for KO's from DDR X3/DDR II and DDR X2 AC. i have the weirdest feeling we will get about 20+ DDR II/DDR X3 songs and around 5 to 10 DDR X2 AC songs....which i would not mind as long as they are the REALLY good X2 licenses.

Well, i guess this thread is probably going to ride a smooth sail from now until release date since we might not get any more info on the game until close to release date/Konami reveals the full songlist for the game.
