DDR X3 VS 2ndMIX (AC) (Japan)

What's with the VS 2nd mix deal? Is it going to have songs from the DDR 2 US CS games?

Honestly, I'm worried about the possibility of CS and AC working together, mostly because the CS team seems to have a lot of bad ideas, and the AC team a lot of good. But hey, I'm hoping KONAMI realizes why X2 is so loved, and perhaps we can unite those two teams, since it really feels like lately they've been at war, with no continuity or connection between AC and CS.

I just hope the stepteam is the X2 one and NOT the DDR 2010 one.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that this new "AC / CS crossover" thing already happened in DDR X2 and Musicfit o.O

Well, most of those KOs felt like X2 rejects in comparison to the better ones that were native to the game.

As much as I want the 2nd mix stuff, I'd much prefer them bringing back a slew of licences from the 3rd-5th Mix era. Do It All Night, Flashdance, Get Up (Before The Night Is Over), Young Forever, Rhythm and Police, My Generation, Moonlight Shadow...I would climax in excitement if that happened :O

You do know that this probably has nothing to do with DanceDanceRevolution 2ndMIX? I think it was confirmed that it was something like DanceDanceRevolution X3 vs. DanceDanceRevolution II.


@Wan DanceDanceRevolution II is the name for the new Wii release,IIRC.

Well it did show the official DDR 2nd Mix emblem shaded in black. Either way its sure to be awesome.

Perhaps the DDR2 logo is designed like that on purpose?

It's exactly the original 2ndMIX logo. Right down to the Stay Cool dancer above the X (Go look at my post a few pages back). Consider that this is, so far, announced as a Japanese arcade game... Do you really think they're going to use that logo in Japan and have it mean something else?

I still think "DanceDanceRevolution II" is a working title anyways.

i think the point is that its gona be mixed with the new beatmania IIDX game.
same music (well theirs alot thats gona be same)
same cool designed.
i belived that happen in DDR 2nd mix and a beatmania game before.

We all thought DanceDanceRevolution was a working title until it turned out not to be. And with DDR being DDR (ugh... still a stupidly confusing title), DDR II makes sense as the name of the next game in this "new" series.

But the working title "DDR" game that ended up being called "DDR" was only called that in America, and was never even released in Japan. This is a Japan-only Location Test.

I think the 2nd ReMix logo is meant to genuinly represent the PSX game (Note that it's the DDR 2nd ReMix logo, not the DDR 2nd Mix logo). I don't tihnk the final game will be called that, but perhaps it's the theme of gimmick of this first location test?

True, but then Europe will have HOTTEST PARTY 5 to look forward to since they never got "DDR" in the first place.






The ReMIX logo is too long. Note the relation of the X to the dancer graphic in the shadow of the title graphic.
