I believe it was a help button, according to bemaniWIKI. It seems to tell you what the current screen you're at is all about.

Is there a specific reason why they remove songs? I mean, I understand the ones where they license the singer and the contract expires or whatnot, but then again, it seems like theres a lot of songs that they should have no problem with, but theyre removed anyways.

They have to make room for the new ones. That or people don't want a machine were half of the songs are never played. Roll Eyes

I always thought it was to give people incentive to buy the home versions. Every version gains more songs than it loses, so I can't imagine memory on the machine is the issue.
