I think it's pretty confirmed that the SuperNOVA shot shown is just a mock up Konami released. Notice all the songs in the list come from one of the Ultramix's. Plus, notice the mod icons. Some of those I can't distinguish wtf they should represent.

I've searched for a while, and I couldn't find my old post about what my guess for the step ratings would be for the removed songs. I might as well do it again.

In the two non-European Dancing Stage games, they use a partial foot-rating system (i.e.: 7.5 foot) and foot increases by one if you use speed mods (these two games are the first DDR versions to include speed mods).

In the Dreamcast edition of DDR Club Version, playing on FLAT mode gives you blue arrows as 4th notes and red arrows as 8th notes.

- (Everyone may have known about this but it hasn't been mentioned in previous pages) The song MAX. Period from EXTREME JP CS have spawned rumors that KONAMI will stop making DDR in the future. In the end of the song, there is a vocal saying "Thank You For Playing" and also "Why Do You Need Konami Original songs?" throughout the song. This song was also the fastest scrolling song (scrolling at 600BPM with 4th streams) , before SN2 released (Pluto Relinquish). This rumor were proven false when KONAMI released DDR Supernova in 2006.

- I remember playing Bishi Bashi Special and the game plays "Mikenko Rock". IIRC it's in the "Race or Fall" stage

This isn't true. I own a promotional vinyl from Toshiba-EMI that contains a full version of this song.

And speaking of Max. (Period), this song and PARANOiA Respect has never seen a US CS release.

Talking about MAX.(period), appearently in some point it was supposed to be in DDRSN AC, since the banner is in the game's data.

It was used in DDRMAX2 USA CS's "LESSON MODE"

As far as the location tests go that I went to, I know a few banners were changed on DDR SuperNOVA and many songs that were supposedly supposed to be on it (Mostly from the Ultramix series) were removed. SuperNOVA was supposed to feature PS2 memory card slots to create edit data for the arcade game but the feature was scrapped before release. During the SuperNOVA 2 location test only one song was unlocked via e-amuse in America (Dream of Love) and Why Not was (what I believe) the only banner that was changed in the final release. "Why Not" during the location test was called "Why Not," for some reason...


Also the extra stage system was technically moved down one stage for each extra. So during the location test the extra stage system was like this...

DDR MAX2 had KAKUMEI as a song, then it also appears in The King of Fighters 2003 as Adelheid's theme music. Sounds strange for DDR music to be in a fighting game.

You realize that both KAKUMEI and Adelheid's theme are based of Chopin's Revolutionary Étude... right?
