DanceEvolution & DanceMasters (Xbox 360 Kinect) (International)

So did anyone actually buy this game amongst the BEMANI community? I haven't seen any videos, aside from the default songlist, posted on Youtube, and no one seems to be talking about it at all.

i've read a couple of reviews for both dance masters and dance central and one pointed out that DM is easier, while the other pointed out that DC was.
Kinda odd really, but they both look pretty brilliant. In terms of construction though, I'd say DM would be the one to go for.

Provided you could get it and kinect for cheap....

How do you go about unlocking songs...

I thank you very much for going through the song list. If you could, I would beg that you upload the dances for the game. I already memorized a geisha's dream but that's all the 573konami youtube page had. I currently don't have a 360 but when I do, I want to be able to just right into the game.

{I'm also really curious about sakura as a dance. Sounds like the new boss song!}

If i get a 360 w/ Kinect, I will be getting THIS game and Dance Central. Both look addictive to play

Wow, the reviews aren't as harsh as I would have thought, it seems the guys at IGN actually did their homework and they KNOW that the game really is meant to appeal to DDR players.

Although looking at the songlist, I don't see any "J-Pop" anywhere. But I think he meant "asian asthetic"

Everyone is saying J-Pop in their reviews and there is no J-Pop in the game, it's kind of funny. I think what they mean is that the music and routines are decidedly asian (can't help looking at some of the routines and not thinking of K-Pop music videos)

ehh, they're not necessarily harder. Just because they're hard songs in one game doesn't mean they'll be hard in other games (look at songs that go from IIDX->Guitar Freaks-> DDR-> Pop'n'Music). I'm surprised that we haven't seen a single video of the dance routines. I will say, I really dislike the style of the characters, especially the Lady Gaga looking girl. Though I think I saw Afro in one picture haha.

So anyone has an idea of how to unlock songs yet? I played all the songs, plus the nonstop-like courses, and besides loads of achievement, I didn't get anything yet...

There are discussions in GameFAQS saying about the hidden stars in Parallel Universe, as well as getting A/AA scores on all sets to unlock songs and difficulties.

Also, some mentions higher up difficulties may be a DLC only unlock...

Not too sure on the details since I don't have the game yet...

Kinect game sales so far are out. I don't really trust VGChartz myself, but at this rate, I don't think we'll be seeing much DLC for the game or a sequel. I still want to pick it up though once I get Kinect.

Hmm, I thoroughly enjoy KIMONO PRINCESS's routine. Fast and fun, although not too hard to pick up.

I'm really excited to see more of the routines in this game. Too bad the poor sales are probably going to hamper the possibility of a sequel.

You did see Afro I think he is gonna be a DLC icon for this game. Kinda sad the Dance Central has DLc already but Dance Masters Dosn't have any DLC yet.

A french test gave 4 points out of 10 for this game.

The sales are most likely because everyone sees the game as full of japanese j-pop techno songs, aimed only at anime loving fans.
Hopefully the number will pick up in future weeks.
